Great tour!!! If Guido is your guide, you can’t go wrong - Guido, our guide for this experience, was absolutely fantastic! He was very personable and able to connect with the adults and the kids alike. His stories were entertaining, and above all, his knowledge of the art and history surrounding the items in the museum was obvious.

Great tour and exceptional artwork! - The gallery was great and the David was breathtaking to see in real life. Our tour guide was also friendly and knowledgeable about the David and other pieces of art in the gallery. I was also very appreciate of the tour company staff - my mom and I were staying on the outskirts of the city limits, and we had a hard time getting a cab to get to the museum that morning. As a result, we showed up right at the start time rather than the advised 20ish minutes beforehand. The staff were totally understanding and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend!

All about David! - Sculpture of David by Michaelangelo is the main attraction at Accademia and it did not fail to impress. The tour guide (Roger) did a great job explaining the structure from four angles. Prior to David, the guide provided some interesting historical context to the “factory” style of paintings, where the main artist would draw the key faces and figures and the background sky, grass, etc would be filled in by the students. A few areas for improvement: (1) the tour was supposed to be a small group (~6 people) but this one turned out to be more than twice that number; (2) entrance was delayed by 30 minutes as they did not seem to have a guide for our time slot and we were added to the next group at the last minute; (3) once inside, the actual guided tour itself lasted just under one hour and felt somewhat rushed.
