A joyous visit - We had a wonderful time at this gem of a museum. The staff were incredibly helpful with wheelchair issues. The setting is outstanding, relatively few tourists and great art beautifully displayed. The Donatello statues are extraordinary but there is much else to enjoy. Thank you to all the very helpful staff

Amazing and free on Sundays - Fantastic and getting to go on a Sunday when the entrance is free. We went early in the morning and there were no queues. There are many beautiful works. The space and wonderful and easy to reach. It was a precious thing.

Fantastic way to truly enjoy the Bargello - Matteo was a truly fantastic guide. He’s knowledgeable, witty, approachable, and genuinely excited to share the Bargello with you. I was worried that this museum would feel nuanced and daunting, but Matteo did an amazing job connecting to the history we already understood about Florence and the artist represented in the Bargello. I’d love to take a more extensive tour with him.

Best tour in Florence. - The tickets to visit the museum independently were sold out. We really wanted to visit the Bargello, so our only option was to book a tour—and we were so glad we did! My husband and I visited the museum on August 19, 2024 at 10am and were fortunate enough to have a private tour. Unfortunately, we don’t remember our tour guide’s name, but she was absolutely fantastic and very passionate about her job. She was very knowledgeable, and we learned so much about the various items in the museum, including amazing facts about Donatello and Da Vinci. If you get an opportunity to visit, book a tour guide—you’ll learn so much more than you would on your own.

Half of the 2nd floor is currently closed for renovation - We had a nice guide Matteo. Even he was surprised that what he considered was the best sculptures were closed because the wing is under renovation. Very disappointing. He did a nice job showing us other things...
