- Panzano in Chianti - This winery has been crafting wine and olive oil since the 9th century. The estate has been owned by notable Florentine families, including the Strozzi. In 1959, the Palombo family took over and shifted from a mixed agricultural system to focus solely on vine cultivation, achieving top-quality wine. The Sangiovese grape is the predominant variety planted here. The rich winemaking tradition is evidenced by ancient cellars from the Renaissance. Visitors will tour the property, vineyard, and wine cellars where vinification occurs and wines are showcased. A Chianti-based wine tasting with a scenic view follows.
- Greve in Chianti - This boutique winery, established in the heart of Chianti Classico since 1780, spans 5 hectares and produces approximately 22,000 bottles annually. Savignola, with Etruscan roots, was a Christian settlement built in the early 17th century. Known for its all-female history, it is one of the area’s historic companies, thanks to Paolina, the first woman to bottle her Riserva in a Bordeaux-style bottle, bringing innovation to Chianti Classico’s tradition. The estate’s ancient barrel cellar dates back to the 1500s, where tradition and innovation merge in wine production. The terroir, composed of deep clay and chalky soil, demands meticulous work to create rich, intense, and long-lasting wines.
