- Cortona - The first stop of the day is Cortona. You will explore this medieval town, perched on a hill in southern Tuscany. Filled with elegant Renaissance buildings, it is a must-see for travelers.
- Cantina Canaio - This winery is located in a country house that has been in the family since the 1600s and has been restored to its original splendor while preserving all its characteristics. The name “Canaio” comes from the nickname given to an ancestor who lived on the family estate and was known for his passion for hunting and the many hounds he kept. In small to medium-sized wineries like this one, the production philosophy focuses on a single goal: quality. Every decision made by the company is crucial and requires absolute dedication and attention to detail. Here, you will be served a typical Italian light lunch.
- Poggio Sorbello - At this family-run winery located at the base of the hilly Cortona, you will be immersed in the art of winemaking. The family-run company was founded in the early 1900s on the hills between Cortona and Montepulciano. From the heart of the farm, situated at 360 meters above sea level, you can see Lake Trasimeno and Mount Amiata. You will explore the entire estate, tour the vineyards and wine cellars, and learn about the production process of Cortona wines. Poggio Sorbello has always been dedicated to cultivating cereals and legumes typical of the area. Today, the farm grows more than 15 varieties, including Fagiolo Zolfino, Fagiolina del Trasimeno, and Fagiolo Etrusco. The farm also cultivates Saffron and Aglione, known as “Garlic of lovers,” and raises hives in the woods to produce excellent wildflower honey. Their interpretation of Syrah grapes has resulted in world-renowned wines. During the wine tasting, you will sample a remarkable selection of their best wines.
