Beautiful experience come to life with great guide - Irina was an amazing guide - she knows so much about the history of a Florence and made everything come alive with her story telling. I learned so much about the city, Medici family and Christianity. It was a thorough tour and having the highlights explained made the experience come to life. I would highly recommend this tour and our guide was fantastic. I’d book Irina again if we were staying longer and had other sights to see

Duomo Complex tour in Florence - Irina Emchenko is an excellent guide. - Irina Emchenko took us on a private tour of the Duomo complex in Florence, and she is an excellent guide because she has a passion for the city, its history, and the artists who lived and worked there. What we found fascinating on this tour was in the crypt area where the original floors from the Middle Ages are exposed. The ancient, previous cathedral of Florence stood on the same site as today’s cathedral. In the crypt, walls of the former church “Santa Reparata” are uncovered. The highlight, however, are the mosaic floors of the former church from the Middle Ages. Small bridges used for protection span the ancient floors. The sense of history is palatable!
Irina was knowledgeable and informative about everything we saw, and it was an impressive tour. We highly recommend Irina Emchenko for a tour guide.

Full of facts and details - Irina was an amazing guide through the Duomo, the Baptist, and the Duomo Museum. She is so passionate about the art and architecture of Florence and willingly shares all of it. She was full of facinating information and had a fabulous deck of photos on her iPad to show detail or highlight fact. We will book another tour with her when we return to Florence. Best authentic & fun tour of Duomo district, rediscovering Florence’s treasures - Irina started our rediscovery journey of Florence, 12 years after our 1st trip.
The fact that she is an independent guide with highly positive recommendations had caught our attention in the 1st place, but the actual experience was much beyond our expectations.
We chose her private tour for the Duomo area (baptistery, church & opera museum), at the very beginning of our stay.
Irina has a very unique way of «telling » the story of the city’s masterpieces.
She knows how to put it into perspective (historically & artistically) & her explanations of each historical figure makes it captivating.
Our 2 hour-tour went by in a wink of an eye, and we can confidently say that she was really the best of private tour guides during our stay (we enjoyed 3 other private guided tours).
We highly recommend Irina & we hope to enjoy another tour with her, next time we visit, maybe with our children (although it may add some extra challenge, she does also have experience with families !)

Fantastic - Fantastic experience. First and foremost Irina was great and extremely knowledgable. She made the tour very informative and interesting at the same time.
The whole tour was super smooth, we didn’t need to think about anything other than enjoying the beautiful experience.

Irina is Awesome!! - We had a great time touring the Duomo with Irina. She is intelligent, accommodating, insightful and humorous. She is well travelled and is able to put into context a lot of the political nuances of the age. Would highly recommend this tour!!
