Fantastic Emilia Romagna Experience - The tour operator was so kind in accommodating us with a pickup in our town outside Florence and offering our group private transport rather than the train. They were extremely helpful and responsive. Paolo, our driver, took care to make sure we saw all the sites: the Ferrari museum, the Pavorotti house museum (which was fantastic), Modena, the Santuario Madonna di San Luca, and Bologna. This tour enabled us to partake in so many interesting sites and experiences. It was wonderful. The highest praises for the stop in Modena and the guide who walked us through the production of Balsamic vinegars. She was wonderful, and our teenage kids loved it! They also really enjoyed the Pavorotti house so don't miss it! The only disappointment was that the guide in Bologna's radio was broken so it was difficult to hear. I also would have skipped the tortellini stop to spend more time elsewhere. The University of Bologna was also great.
