The path offers a descent through charming cypress tree woods, past the Castello Di Vincigliata castle, and into Settignano village. The journey continues from Settignano to the PoggioPiano vineyard. There, meet the Galardi family, proprietors of an organic Chianti Vineyard and olive plantation near Al Girone. Here, unwind at the estate with an inviting glass of their onsite-produced Chianti wines, complemented by an assortment of Tuscan cheeses, meats, and bread topped with their homegrown extra virgin olive oils.
Finally, the route guides you along dedicated bike lanes crossing the River Arno back to Florence. The final stretch leads to Piazzale Michelangelo for a breathtaking view of Florence from this renowned vantage point. After soaking up the view, return the bikes to round off this enchanting e-bike adventure.

Stellar views and scenery - This was a great time on our trip! John was friendly and informative. The ride can be a challenge if you’re not used to riding. The bikes are pedal assist and go to 16 mph. There is a lot of uphill riding so you have to be prepared for that. The area that you will write through is absolutely beautiful! I cannot stress enough. The winery is stunning with very friendly people in good wine. If you’re up for a challenge, I definitely recommend this trip! Make sure to pack some insulated water bottles to refill as you go.

A must do in Florence! - My husband and I did this for a day in Florence and had an amazing day! The bikes were in great condition, the map was very simple to follow and the route mapped out was incredible with so many beautiful views! The winery suggested to stop at was nice with lovely staff, good wine and food. This was a great way to spend a day outside of the city and see some new areas around Florence. The owner was so great and helpful too, I would highly recommend booking here!

Kind and honest - We were part of a tour group, our tour leader reached out to John to communicate our arrival time.
Once we made it to E Bike location, John was kind enough to give us his honest opinion on the difficulty of the tour.
Being that none of us mountain bike, he advised us to not go through with the tour to avoid any injuries that would ruin our holiday.
I am grateful for his honesty!!
He gave us a full refund. I highly recommend this good business man

A Must-Do Activity When Visiting Florence - After 2 weeks of seeing incredible art, architecture, and history, our most enjoyable event to date was the self-guided trip through the beautiful Tuscan countryside with John’s E-bikes Florence company. He provided a comprehensive overview of the trip along with an easy to follow online map that allowed us to enjoy a worry-free ride, and experience Italian culture from a whole new perspective. John works hard to ensure that everyone has a safe, supportive, and fully enjoyable ride. We highly recommend booking a ride with E-Bikes Florence.

1000% Recommend ! - WOW! I cannot recommend this tour enough. My family and I booked last minute and the owner was so incredible with accommodating us! This tour is so well thought out and so easy to follow with the map John (the owner) has made. The tour was beautiful and we loved the self guided pace. We made stops in all the recommended locations. The views were so beautiful and this is truly the best way to explore florence. The vineyard was gorgeous also. I can't recommend this enough!

Incredible self guided bike tour !! - This is a must do activity in Florence! My family and I spent 3 days in Florence and on our final day happened to schedule a self guided bike tour with E-Bikes Florence. We started in the downtown of Florence and road bikes through the country side, stopped at a vineyard and made our way back to the city. It was absolutely breathtaking! This path is thoughtfully planned out by owner John who gave us a digital map to follow as we bikes around the city. He was extremely accommodating, friendly, and thoughtful! This was the highlight of my time in Florence and I cannot recommend it more!

This was one of our... - This was one of our favorite days - and we were hesitant at first to do a self guided tour. It turned out great. We had a group of 4 - two couples. The guys in our group downloaded the app that is provided to you prior to arriving for the tour. This process took a few min the night before - but once done - it became clear how it is used. The app provides a map of the bike route that does not require cell service. Once you have it, you're set. It's recommended that two people in your group download the app - 2 sets of eyes on the map and 2 phones in case something happens to one of them. The guys had no trouble leading us... you do ride maybe 10 minutes through Florence before you get out to the country. We were a bit nervous about this and it was fine. We had fabulous weather and a clear day which was also a huge bonus. I would not recommend this tour if the weather is iffy.

Unforgettable Ride Through Tuscany – Stunning Views, Great Wine, Fun Adventure! - Best part of our Italy vacation! You get to intimately experience the Tuscan countryside with its narrow winding roads surrounded by cypress trees, stone walls, and olive orchards. Incredible views of Florence. Beautiful winery with a very welcoming staff and delicious wines and food. Then finish riding along the Arno through lush parks. So much fun. John was so friendly and will meet you anywhere during the ride if anything goes array. There are some steep hills so you’re still putting in significant effort. Our quads were sore after for sure.

Amazing tour and service - John runs a first class operation. He provides an easy to follow map that you run on your phone (attached by convenient handle bar mounts) on an e-bike that helps you make short work of the hilly terrain. All the equipment was in great shape and the briefing before we left helped to identify major turns and points along the way. Then off we went into a temperate March morning. The route stays mainly on bike paths, and it was easy and pleasant to pedal through the city on the way out and on the way in. It’s a 23 mile loop with many scenic spots along the way. The vineyard at the midpoint was very scenic with friendly service. We enjoyed the optional wine and food for lunch, then pedaled to plaza Michelangelo for a stunning city view. We returned through the city along the Arno and bike paths. It was totally awesome. Thanks again to John!

highlight of our vacation - John went out of his way, literally. There had been bad weather earlier in the week and some debris had fallen into the roads as a result. He was at those sites as we rode up and carried our bikes over. The map, views and service were amazing as well.
