The journey then leads you to the core of the city’s religious sector with the Cathedral, featuring Brunelleschi’s dome, St. John’s Baptistery, and Giotto’s bell tower. En route, admire the charming Ponte Vecchio before reaching Piazza Signoria. In this open-air gallery, marvel at the Fountain of Neptune and the Loggia dei Lanzi’s grandeur. Overseeing this splendour is Palazzo Vecchio with its famed Arnolfo’s tower, a renowned symbol of Florence. - Due to worship, on Sundays and religious celebrations the Cathedral is closed to visitors.
- Giotto’s Bell Tower: The ascent consists on foot along a stairway of 414 steps and there is no lift. Last entry 7:00 pm.
- Baptistery: Access from the North Door (Martelli street side)
- Opera del Duomo Museum: Access from Piazza del Duomo n. 9. The Museum is closed on the first Tuesday of each month.
- Santa Reparata: Access from the Cathedral “Porta Campanile” (south side, beside the Bell Tower entrance)
