A Perfect “Highlights” Tour in Florence: History, Art, and Engaging Insights - I recently spent a delightful half-day in Florence after arriving by train from Milan. My goal was to get a comprehensive overview of the city and see Michelangelo’s David without enduring long entry lines. This tour was the perfect solution, fulfilling all my expectations. The tour began at 10:30 AM with a meetup under the Galileo statue outside the Uffizi Gallery. We were provided with headsets to clearly hear our exceptional guide, Valentina. She led us through all the main attractions on our way to the Accademia Gallery. Valentina’s extensive knowledge and engaging storytelling brought the history and culture of Florence to life. She made the experience interactive by asking us questions to learn more about our interests and testing our knowledge of Florence and the Renaissance. Despite the sweltering 36°C heat, Valentina ensured we had ample opportunities to take photos and refill our water bottles. Her thoughtful approach and the well-organized itinerary made this tour the highlight of my trip to Italy. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Florence in a short amount of time.

I would recommend this tour to see the sights of the city of Florence. - This small group tour was excellent. Skip-the-line is essential to avoid waiting in crowds. We got a good overview of the sites, finishing at Accademia Gallery to view the original Statue of David which was a highlight.

Informative Tour - Valentina was the best guide. She was knowledgeable, passionate and engaging. Her English was flawless. We were able to learn interesting facts and retain the information thanks to Valentina’s interactive “quizzes”. The walking tour gave us a small taste of Florence’s rich history. And we breezed into the Accademia with our skip the line passes, invaluable on a blistering summer day. It was surreal to see David “in the flesh”. Grazie mille Valentina!

The David!! - Fun info as we walked the city. Florence is a magical place, and I always learn a new tidbit from all these professional guides even though I’ve done many tours in Firenze. Skip the line tickets are great!

First Class Tour of Florence - Of course David's statue was the highlight. Gaining some insight into the history of Florence and the general layout of the city were nice add-ons. Very knowledgeable guide (Paulina), and the coordination of the tour and entry into Galleria Academia were spot-on.

Great introduction to Florence - Angela was a wonderful guide. We started at the exact start time, moved at a good pace, and saw a lot of wonderful sights in the center, as described. Our tour guide had a deep understanding of all of the stops and explained them well. She also took care to make sure we stopped in the shade. The highlight was the ending point- the statue of David. If I had been staying in Florence, this would have been the perfect way to start my visit. Because I was a cruise ship passenger, I wished that we had been given more time at each stop for photos, but because this was not a tour geared towards cruise ship passengers, it made more sense to run the tour as it was. I would recommend this tour and tour guide to anyone visiting Florence for the first time.

Worth it - Annette is an excellent guide and you get the sense that she appreciates not only the history but the art also (most people favor one or the other). She gave excellent background on why the David is significant so that even if you dont recognize it as the apex of all art you can at least recognize the work done to create it. Overall a worthwhile tour

Very knowledgeable and friendly guide - We had a great experience learning about the monuments and the story behind the historical characters. Our guide Angelo was one of the best we have ever seen: knowledgeable, friendly, and very articulate.

Never found the tour... - Never found the tour leader. Were told we had to go miles away to pick up paper tickets. Not a satisfactory experience.
