You're in Florence, of course you should spend a night with Opera - The performers and the setting were both wonderful. Great acoustics! A bit hard to find, but luckily we happened upon it while it was still light out.

Perfetto - I really like classical music and what can you do on a solo trip in the evening? Listening to Italian opera in a 15th century church...:) The experience was fantastic last weekend. The soprano singer was Melissa D`ottavi, who was very beautiful and had a wonderful voice. And among the pianists, I found Cristiano Manzoni to be very good. He played so casually and with such passion that I was completely mesmerized. (A strange thing was that one of the tourists thought she would bring the 2-year-old child with her.So disrespectful towards the artists and the guests.the child was not quiet...) But I tried to abstract it from the noise of the tourists and focus only on the artists and it was definitely a wonderful experience. Thanks. I will definitely return to Florence, because I love this lovely place and I will enjoy the Italian opera again :)

Cozy venue and spirited performance - A soprano, a baritone and a puani player. Especially enjoyed the animated performance of the baritone singer. The piano player was fantastic.

Professional quality opera concert in a quaint church - This was a great concert held in a small church a little removed from the touristy part of town which was nice. The performers were clearly professionals who were absolutely wonderful in their singing and playing. The length of the concert was good, too, about an hour which was a good length, especially for how late it started and for having teenagers who may not be as interested in a longer opera concert.

Nice, not memorable. Spendy for what you get. - Phenomenal pianist, mediocre diva. Sometimes off pitch. Great acoustics. Church a little tough to find cause no outside markings. On the whole an entertaining experience but not memorable. Lasted 75 minutes, two encores, three completely undeserved standing ovations. Meh.

Interesting concert - The baritone was fantastic but the soprano was pretty dreadful. The pianist was very good. Overall a good performance.
