Amazing introduction to Florence - Manuel provided our small group with an outstanding intro to the history of Florence. He pointed out various features and showed us how the City changed from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and described many of the important figures who drove those changes. Fascinating! Must do (Martina is the best!) - Words cannot describe how amazing this tour was! Our tour guide Martina was by far the best tour guide we have had in Italy! The pure information and fun facts made the tour but it wasn’t just that. Martina was clearly so passionate about the information and the Medici family. We went on our first day in Florence and have spent the trip looking for either the crest of the family as she did such an amazing job at explaining the evolution of the crest!

Medici tour with Manuel - Manuel was prompt, courteous, enthusiastic, and informative. His tour was very interesting, pointing out historical evidence that would have gone unnoticed by us. He included photos & maps on his tablet to connect the past with the present and a witty sense of humor that kept us feeling upbeat. 3 generations of American women were more than pleased with this tour and our guide, Manuel. We highly recommend!

An Experienced Guide can make the Tour - I have read some about the Medici and their role in Florence, so I knew the basic history. I liked the way our guide made the stories come alive. She put a little humour into her stories, and role playing, so it gave a sense to how things might have come about. The sound system really needs to be updated. Our guide talked while walking. I missed 30% of what was said while walking and my friend missed 70%, because of the street noise level. For seniors like us, headsets should be an option. This is my second time to Florence within one year. All the tours are based on first timers. I would like to be able to take a more in-depth tour based on the fact that I know and have grasped the basics.
