Unique cooking class in the Tuscan hills. - We randomly met Chef Mario at the office as we walked by his store front. He was very friendly and engaging, but after he explained the tour, we were in. He drove us and 5 other people to the event. We drove into the Tuscan hillside and a villa in the midst of olive trees and vineyards. He has a small cabin near a large pond where he starts a fire on which we cooked and begins opening wine. It was a great evening of making 2 types of pasta by hand. The small group was awesome and the atmosphere better. He topped off the pasta dinner with a shared steak before making tiramisu. When we were done, we were very happy we went and would recommend to anyone who wants a unique cooking and wine experience.

THE highlight of an amazing fortnight in Florence. Fun, great trip, amazing food. Go for it. - This was an amazing evening. We were persuaded by Mario to give it a go (at that point I hadn't properly realised that he was also the chef). I'm so glad we went. Educational - making the pasta was straightforward. Great fun - this was both Mario and the two others who happened to be on our trip. A really good meal. I hadn't properly realised that we would have an amazing steak as well as the pasta. A generous selection of local wine. Finished with grilled apple and cream. All of this in addition to a drive through the beautiful Tuscan countryside, a (short and not cumpulsory) walk between the olive groves and the vinyards to a secluded open air kitchen beside a lake with carp and Dorita (you're not allowed to call her a turtle!). There is an indoor kitchen if the weather is poor. (We had thunder in Florence just before we were picked up - but the weather cleared magnificently before we got out to Bagna a Ripoli) It is good for groups, singles or couples. We went as a couple, there were two singles with us. If all of this sounds unremittingly positive, like the other reviews, that is simply because that is the way it is. It isn't a budget evening, but it is probably the best €150 I've spent in a long time.

A great way to experience Tuscan food! - We had a wonderful and fun morning with Chef Mario learning how to make three different types of fresh pasta. I was especially excited to participate because I have dietary restrictions - I am gluten and dairy free. Mario took extra care to work with my family in two separate spaces so that I could learn how to make gluten free pasta at the same time. He was a gracious host and we also enjoyed wine with our delicious meal. We left completely stuffed! I can’t wait to recreate our dishes at home.

Wonderful morning with Gonzalo! - Fabulous Florence morning class and lunch with Gonzalo. Really a highlight of our stay in Florence. I recommend it to anyone as he is so flexible and made this a really fun adventure. We met him in city center and cooked with him his historic newly remodeled kitchen space. We made three types of pasta and tiramisu! Don't miss out! Was worth every penny.

highly recommended - The shop is located a walking distance from de Academy Museum. We booked a Chianti tour. It was wonderful! We visit a Monastery, where they show us the cellars where the monks made liquors, then we try them. If you go to Florence you absolutely should do it. After we did a wine tasting in a winery where they also produce cheeses so we tasted the cheeses with their respective wines. The tour finished with a great home cooking dinner with "bistecca alla fiorentina " highly recommended"
