Accompanied by a proficient, certified guide with excellent English proficiency, your journey begins at the astonishing Palatina Gallery, proudly displaying exquisite works by artists such as Raffaello, Tiziano, Artemisia Gentileschi, Van Dyck, Rubens, and Caravaggio. Post a brief recess, the awe-inspiring Boboli Gardens, a pioneering instance of the so-called Italian Renaissance garden, lay next in the itinerary.

The Pitti Palace stands as a prime illustration of a private Renaissance period palace.

Despite experiencing numerous expansions over several ages, the external facade remains remarkably unchanged, whereas the interior spaces reflect varying styles corresponding to the diverse families that inhabited it, ranging from the Pitti and Medici families to the Habsburg and Savoy lineage.

A splendid collection of exquisitely adorned chambers with priceless paintings, furniture, frescoes, and sculptures provide a glimpse of the deep-rooted love for the arts that the members of the Medici family possessed, allowing for a unique understanding of how power and creativity can converge.

Art & History with Camila. - It was a luxury to have a guided tour just to ourselves on the day with Camila, we think Camila appreciated it too! As an art restorer Camila is deeply experienced and can connect the story of the palace and gardens to the artworks in a very entertaining way. No question is too hard and she is very warm and welcoming. Will definitely recommend her to others.

Great way to get an overview of the Palatina Gallery and Boboli gardens - Our guide did a great job curating artwork in the Palatine palace to focus on as there is an overwhelming amount of art on every wall. He shared interesting insights. The tour of the Boboli Gardens was useful as an overview and we were given the opportunity to continue exploring after the end of our guided tour. Our guide provided suggestions on how to work through the park depending on the level of energy participants were willing to expend. We were able to each lunch in the palace courtyard at the end of our tour which was a pleasant way to relax.

Beautiful and educational but oh the heat! - Our guide whose name we didn’t get, an art restorer, was truly lovely. It was so hot, she did the garden tour first for our comfort. So much to see here. Worth the cost anytime. She answered every question and took care to see that we were not in trouble from the heat.

AWFUL - I forgot to add into my review the most important part- I paid for the audio guide. We spent 45 minutes trying to download it from a. Third party app. We received no assistance from the what’s app customer service rep. We had to do the tour without it which really reduced the experience. I requested a refund and have been ignored. I do have time to go back before we leave, which is very sad because it was the main reason why I came to Florence with respect to the art workd. Go through booking.com if you must buy advance tickets. They were seamless and less expensive.
