- Siena - After meeting your driver, we will drive through the sweet Chianti hills, amidst olive-groves, cypress trees and vineyards up to Siena for a self guided tour. Siena is a historic city on the region of Tuscany and is the capital of the province of Siena. This city is well known for its gorgeous architecture and beautiful main square, the “Piazza del Campo”. Furthermore Siena has a historic city centre that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Additionally, Siena is also known for its legendary Palio horse race, that takes place twice a year and draws hundreds of spectators. The most interesting things to see in Siena are: the famous Piazza del Campo, the Duomo, the Baptistery and the wonderful small streets of the historic center such as “Via di città”. - Agricola Poggio Ai Laghi - After visiting Siena we will move to the winery farm, where we’ll stop for lunch and wine tasting. Get lost in the stunning city of Siena, unravel the mystery of the Black Rooster, and indulge in sumptuous wines at a traditional Tuscan farm.
• Our journey will lead us through Chianti’s rolling hills, amidst olive trees, cypresses and vineyards, culminating at Siena, a city honored as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Siena is also renowned for its mythical Palio horse race, conducted bi-annually, drawing hundreds of onlookers. Siena’s most captivating sights include the renowned Piazza del Campo, the Duomo, the Baptistery and the charming city lanes such as ‘Via di Città’.
• Following the tour, we will head over to a genuine Tuscan farm to fathom the nuances of winemaking and relish a hearty meal of homemade pasta, bruschetta, ham, pecorino and 8 wine samples.
