Excellent tour! - An excellent walking tour in Florence! Brian was our guide and he was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. We really enjoyed our time on this tour. Brian also provided us with tips and suggestions (leather, shopping, restaurants). Highly recommend this tour!

This is the one to do. - Superb tour guide! Tried keeping us in the shade most of the time and away from the crowds. She was knowledgeable, friendly and took the time to explain the local history of the area and especially going over the David and the prigionieri. Glad we took the tour and would highly recommend. Wonderful experience.

GREAT VISIT AND TOUR - we had a fantastic visit of Florence with Daniela, she knows a lot about this beautiful city and it was very interesting to learn so many things, we were with our 2 sons (12 and 14 yo) they enjoy it also. if we coma back to Florence , we will definitely book this tour again to discover more about this city; we loved Florence very much out of our long road trip from milan to Rome, Florence stays our favorite places from all.

Great tour just use caution if traveling via cruise - I would highly recommend this tour, but not if you’re traveling on a cruise. We didn’t realize that Florence is about 3 hours by train from the cruise terminal. You can’t make a 9:30am start time. We lucked out and Viator customer service agent helped to get us rebooked on the same tour at night. In order to do that we had to get a hotel and buy a toothbrush and clean clothes. It works great this way just plan for it. It’s a great tour and the only way to experience the museum and David statue. Our tour guide Giada, was wonderful and did a great job showing us all the best highlights of Florence. She gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner!

My less than ideal experience on this tour with guide - It takes a lot for me to rate something as ‘Poor’ as I am very patient. My tour was on Sunday morning 7/21 at 930 AM. I arrived at the meeting spot and I matched the name of my tour with the paper held by the guide. Here’s what happened next 1. I mentioned my name and that I had a confirm and booking number from Viator. However the guide insisted she could not take us on the tour because she did not have my and my family’s names. 2. I told her multiple times that I have a confirm and booking number and I was trying to show her my phone as proof that I was not making this up. I requested her to call her tour company or Viator to confirm my booking. However she insisted she was not going to call anyone and I needed to call Viator. She was not willing to talk to me and made it appear that I was bothering her by trying to show her my confirmation on my phone. 3. By now it was time for the tour to start and other members had arrived. I apologized to them for the delay. I started texting Viator, indicating the guide would not take us on the tour. 4. Finally either her tour company or Viator called her and cleared up the situation and me and my family were able to go on the tour. My assessment is mistakes happen and I realize it’s part of life, however for the guide to be rude and not willing to listen to my input or view my confirm and booking number is why I am rating this tour as poor. The actual place we went were great and we saw a lot, however the guide is why I rated this so low. As a guide I would have thought she would have been more understanding of the situation. She could have simply listened to my input, allowing me to show her the information and then calling her tour company to confirm. When I was texting Viator even they were surprised that the guide was not willing to look at or acknowledge my confirmation and booking number. Tour guides are supposed to be ambassadors for their country and make it hospitable for tourists who spend lots of money in their country. In this case my family and I did not feel we were treated well and thus did not have an optimal experience. After such a bad start to the tour it is hard for the rest of the tour to go well. Viator should be be aware of who they enlist to give these tours.
