- Borgo Storico di Manarola - The journey from Florence lasts approximately 2 hours, the first visit will be at Manarola, a magnificent village, UNESCO heritage site, part of the beautiful coastal villages of the Cinque Terre. You will have time to walk the narrow streets, admire the views and enjoy coastal village life, and have a beautiful breakfast in the meantime that the town gets crowded, maybe some souvenir too. Then continue to Riomaggiore with the ferry that connects the coastal villages. (Operation varies depending on weather)
- Vernazza - Vernazza, built around the small fishing harbor, bears witness to medieval history with the Doria Castle on top of the rock overlooking the small port, and the church of s. Margherita D’Antiochia next to the main square. If you want to take a bath in the Tyrrenium waters around the natural harbor, don’t miss the opportunity. Time to explore the village and taste a typical Ligurian food, and maybe a memorable souvenir (lunch not included) and your journey continues

Borgo Storico di Riomaggiore - After visiting Manarola, we continue with the second village Riomaggiore. Built on the cliff face, with the castle that dominates the coast from the strategic position, and the church of S. Giovanni dating XIII century as a memory of its medieval history and its houses with colorful facades make it unique. Don’t miss a swim in the small pebble stone beach of Rio, it’s beautiful.
Time to explore then we continue by train towards Vernazza. - Piazza dei Miracoli - In the afternoon, from Vernazza, after 10 minutes by train to Manarola then an hour and a half of driving towards Pisa, you will arrive at the famous Piazza dei Miracoli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 where you can admire the beauty of the Pisan Romanesque architecture as a whole of the monumental complex, will be able to visit the Cathedral, the Baptistery and the Camposanto together with the famous Leaning Tower. (tickets to enter the cathedral and the Tower are not included) And after this visit full with memories and discoveries, we will continue driving towards Florence at the end of our journey.

Additional Information
Depart from Florence in a comfortable van with a very small group of up to 8 people and a tour leader for a memorable day. After 2 hours driving the first stop is Manarola, one of the jewels of the Cinque Terre, where you can admire the picturesque houses and take breathtaking photos. Time to explore, before to move with the ferry line that connects the villages to visit Vernazza, walking through the charming streets of the city, and discover the history. After this experience, just 15 min away by train, the next stop is Riomaggiore, where you can taste local delicacies, visit the defensive tower, discover the village life and have a swim. Then, after 10 min of train and 1,5 h driving, the tour will take you to the famous Piazza dei Miracoli to see the majestic Tower of Pisa and the other monuments at this UNESCO site. After this exciting day, set off driving towards Florence. The itinerary is organized to be the easiest considering all the walking difficulties of the villages.
- Comfort shoes necessary
- Boats do not operate in bad weather conditions and when the sea is rough. On these occasions transfers between towns is done by local coastal train
- Guests can take a swim in one of the villages, we suggest to take a swim suit with you
- The tour leader depending on the conditions on the terrain can change the order of visit of the villages, you still have to visit the same villages as mentioned on the description.
- There is a minimum number of participants for the tour to get started. Les than 4 guests the tour does not depart. You will be offer to amend the date or a full refund.
- Because the natural formation of the coastal towns, all the health restrictions communicated are considering that; during the itinerary there are some steps about 30/40 during some moments that require that guests can make them without health related issues.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Great host! Great experience! Fun! Travel was comfortable and communication was very clear and responsive. I was a little scared about a 12 hour excursion but it ended up being a perfect day!

Customer oriented, knowledgeable - great experience - Emilio was flexible with the pick up, communicated well, and delivered a memorable trip to 3 islands and the Pisa tower - giving us ample time to explore and explaining the history in engaging ways. He was on time and brought a comfortable vehicle - overall a great experience and recommend to anyone in Florence.

Amazing day trip to Cinque Terre. - Amazing views of the Italian northwestern coast lines and 5 villages of Cinque Terre. Very picturesque. We took a lot of pictures. Emilio is very personable and accommodating. He also does well managing time through the day. He is also knowledgeable of the area and the region and happy to answer all your questions.
Tip - Travel light. Check weather. Carry a headgear like a hat or a cap.

Lilium Travel Florence with Emilio is the best!!! - Emilio is well educated and has exceptional knowledge of the area and it's unique history. Stuff only learned through years of immersive living experience. He was very attentive to all the guests. After seeing how other tours were progressing through the small villages we were so glad we were with Emilio! Small group is without any doubt the way to go! Emilio runs the entire show for his tour company and is exceptionally good at it. My wife and I go on our fair share of tours when traveling and Emilio is one of the very best. Highly recommend!

A day trip from Florence - Emilio was definitely a really good tour guide!
He picked us up explained everything thoroughly which we really enjoyed a lot.
He was a lot of fun the entire time he was with us and guided us well.
Would highly recommend him and would definitely use him again.

Wonderful experience, to be repeated!! - I spent a beautiful day with my family, wonderful place with breathtaking views where we also tasted very good and fresh local food. All this thanks also to the tour leader who guided us with his professionalism and kindness everywhere.

FAR EXCEEDED our expectations! - Admittedly, I was a bit concerned about taking a 12-hour tour. What if we weren't comfortable with the guide or others on the tour?? My concerns vanished within seconds of meeting Emilio! Emilio is friendly, personable, very knowledgeable about where he's taking you, and Italy, overall. He has the general itinerary for the day planned, but is very flexible with the schedule if his passengers would like to spend more time in one place and all are in agreement. There was enough time between stops that we were able to rest a bit before the next adventure. :) I absolutely recommend good walking shoes with great tread for those steep village roads and steps in Cinque Terre, and I was grateful for that information in the tour summary.
Our time in Italy was brief, unfortunately, or else I would have loved to enjoy more excursions with Lilium Travel Florence. When we find ourselves in Italy again, or when we hear of friends or family traveling to Italy, we will absolutely recommend this tour company and Emilio!

Cinque Terre / Pisa Tour - What a day this was! Our tour guide, Emilio drove us from Florence to Cingue Terre to Pisa and back to Florence in a luxury, comfortable, Air Conditioned Van. He was extremely informative giving us the history of places we visited. Emilio would point out the best vantage points in each village we visited for the most scenic photo opportunities. We arrived in Vernazza early, before the crowds arrived and Emilio suggested a particular restaurant for lunch, and then made us reservations insuring we would have a table with a beautiful view.
Emilio would always be there to ensure our safety when entering and exiting the van and ferries.
This was the best day of our 12 day vacation in Italy.
I wished we had known that is was possible to book Emilio for other tours as well. We would have loved to go to Bologna.

Wonderful Tour with an Excellent Guide - We had a fantastic experience on our tour with Emilio. He is an exceptional guide who made our trip truly memorable.
The stops were perfectly timed, allowing us to enjoy each destination without feeling rushed. The places we visited were stunning, each offering unique beauty and charm.

A fabulous trip to cinque terre - Our tour was wonderful. Emilio was welcoming and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. He was a very safe driver and the van was comfortable. He lead us every step of the way and even made us lunch reservations. It was a long day but even our teenagers enjoyed it. If you are ever in Florence I recommend without reservations.
