Pisa/Florence with Claudio - Our driver/guide Claudio picked us up right on time in the port of Livorno. He was personable from the start of the trip. We made a quick stop in Pisa just to see the tower and cathedral as well as a quick detour on the route through wine country. Claudio knew Pisa well as it is his hometown so he gave us the history. His English, while not perfect was very understandable and there were no communication problems. Claudio then took us to Florence where he told us about some of the highlights and what we should see. He drove us around Florence a bit and then dropped us off right in the middle where we explored for several hours on our own before meeting him for the drive back. Overall Claudio was excellent. He efficiently and informatively helped us accomplish a lot in just a day (8-9 hours really). He was easy to speak with the entire time and his vehicle (a sprinter van-like Mercedes) was very comfortable and he is a great driver. He is highly recommended!
