We Like Tuscany - And You Will Too!! - We thoroughly enjoyed the Tuscany Countryside Bike Tour with We Like Tuscany! Our guide was exceptional - friendly, super informative, and enthusiastic, making the tour a truly memorable experience. The tour took us to some incredible sights, including Galileo's observatory and his villa (viewed from the outside), which was fascinating. We appreciated the multiple stops throughout the day, especially given the hot weather. The countryside views were simply spectacular. Our stop at Villa Agape was a highlight, with a beautiful setting and a generous meat, cheese, olive oil, and bread spread accompanied by lovely wine. We learned so much about the region, including insights into Galileo's life, olive trees, caper production, and the Renaissance. We opted for the standard bikes, which were well-maintained and comfortable. Overall, we highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Tuscany's stunning countryside in an active and engaging way!

An Amazing Way to Experience Tuscany - 20 years ago, when my wife and I first started dating, we saw a poster about bike tours around Tuscany and thought that it would be an amazing experience. So, we were excited to take this tour and the staff at We Like Tuscany were up to the challenge of turning our expectations into reality. Our tour guide, Alessandro (Ale), was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and funny. We had read a lot of reviews in preparation for the ride to make sure we would be capable of completing the ride without being exhausted at the end of the day. This was a vacation after all. Ale, recommended that we both take e-bikes to help with some of the climbs on the ride. As a 51 year old experienced cyclist who is used to riding long stretches on flat terrain, I initially balked at the idea. But when he explained that the motor could be turned off and only used when needed and that the other 7 members of our group would be using them I gave in and listened to him. Truthfully, it was good advice. While I was able to complete most of the ride without the electric assist, it was nice to be able to access the feature during the toughest climbs in order to keep pace with the rest of the group. My wife said that the e-bike allowed her to enjoy the experience and take in the views without feeling wiped from the ride. If you are wondering about e-bike vs traditional bike and want to enjoy the ride, take the e-bike. If you are looking for the Giro D’Italia, this isn’t it. Ale lead our group at a safe, comfortable pace sharing interesting facts and stories about the area and inserting humorous thoughts along the way which enhanced the experience. He was acutely aware needs of the group, offering to swap bikes with me when my pedal began to squeak (this was a not a problem at all) and he was always checking to ensure that our group was safe and together. His tour lead us on a quick path through the city stopping at a few key landmarks that are important to the local people. Once we got into the countryside, there were stops along the way. There were breathtaking views of both the city and surrounding area. Ale’s experience and knowledge of the city of Florence made this a memorable ride. Our time at the LaPia Percussina was unforgettable. Joe and Marta have done an amazing job of restoring the farmhouse and uncovering the property’s magical history. The stories Joe shared about their journey were amazing. The property is simply gorgeous with sections of different varieties of grape vines and olive trees. The property also contains a long lost park that has been brought back to life with the help of the local people, all overlooking the Duomo in Florence off in the distance. The food and wine they served the group was also fantastic and yes, we liked the plate selection, too. This is truly a labour of love for them and we felt fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet them and have them share their stories with us, if only for a few hours. Overall, we strongly recommend this tour for anyone who is looking to get away from the smells and the massive crowds flooding into Florence. As well, for those who like great food and wine and want to get some exercise while taking in the beautiful countryside that Tuscany has to offer. Everything happens for a reason, and we now better understand why it took this long to make this bike tour happen. Thank you to Alessandro, Joe, and Marta for helping make our dreams come true.

A must in Florence! - We cycled half a day with wine tasting and cold cuts with Valerio. A great experience! Especially with electric bikes. Beautiful scenery, quiet roads, slow pace to appreciate the views, small group. Little extra: souvenir water bottles offered. To do and do again without hesitation!

They both were so fun to talk with and instantly felt like old friends. We loved seeing the countryside—the views were amazing. This is a MUST do. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip.

A great ride - Absolutely loved this tour! The e bikes were well maintained. Jack (attack) our guide, had great insight into Florence as well as olives and wine production. The biking part was so easy with the e-bikes and getting up the hills provided a beautiful view. Visiting the small olive grove and winery was amazing. Then to the local retaurant and eating most delicious ravioli, while drinking the local wine, just added do the whole experience!

Absolutely do this bike tour! - We had an amazing tour. Our guide, Claudio, was fun and extremely knowledgeable. He really made the day special, taking the time to point out everything from the history of the buildings, the towns, and even the food! He stopped to pull bay leaved from the side of the road to let us smell them, and tied that in to a surprising summation of Tuscan cuisine. The ride was occasionally challenging on a few uphill stretches, but we were able to get e-bikes for a small additional fee, which helped me (I've got a bad knee). All the folks on regular bikes did great too, but I'm glad I went for the e-bike. We saw so much more of Florence on this tour than we could have possibly seen walking in the crowded tourist areas. I highly recommend this tour! If you get Claudio, say Hi for me.

Waste of money - What a disaster of an experience. On arrival, the tour guide was late. We had to wait till he arrived. The business or office organisation had no structure. Bikes weren’t ready, theee was no one to set up bikes but lots of staff walking around. It felt like they were a new business was just starting. However the guide confirmed they had been operating for years. The tour was a total of 10kms over 4 hours. This tour could be done in 1.5 hrs.
