San Gimignano and winery with Fabio - Four of us had a charming day with Fabio. We enjoyed his historical knowledge of Italy as well as his wit. San Gimignano was beautiful but the highlight of the day was our lunch. We toured a small family winery and experienced an intimate food and wine pairing, lovely! Highly recommended

A day exploring Tuscany - What an amazing day and what a wonderful guide. Fabio collected us from our hotel in Florence and whisked us towards first Siena and then Sam Gimignano - all the while giving us the historical context of both places in a fun and informative way. He brought the Palio to life for our group (of 8 with ages ranging from 11 to 60) with funny anecdotes about inter district rivalries! In between the 2 sites visited we stopped for a delicious lunch and wine tasting which was a real highlight and we left having exchanged numbers with our hosts and laden with fabulous wines to take on to our next Villa! We all thought Fabio was an excellent and thoroughly knowledgeable guide and would recommend the experience highly to everyone. Ciao Fabio - grazie mille 🙏

Tuscany day trip - Michele was a wonderful and thoughtful host as he drove me and my fiance and mother around Tuscany all day on a personalized experience based on our interests. We started the day visiting the American WW2 memorial in Chianti, then stopped in Monterigioni. Which was super fun. We had a long luxurious lunch at a vineyard that was a highlight of our trip then ended the day visiting San Gimnagno with wonderful gelato paid for by Michele. I would recommend him to anyone interested in the art and culture of Tuscany and just having a good time in general.

A Day in Tuscany - My daughter and I had a magical day in Tuscany with our local guide Michele. He did a wonderful job of balancing the art, history and culture throughout the day with some personal things we wanted to experience. The day did not disappoint with Michele! We started our morning off at Piazzale Michaelangelo taking in the beautiful skyline of Florence. Other stops during the day included the Florence American Cemetery; coffee and strolling the wonderful artisan shops of the medieval walled town of Monteriggioni; lunch, wine tasting and tour in the hills outside of San Gimignano at the beautiful Fontaleoni winery; and we ended our magical day walking through San Gimignano, soaking up the views, and eating some amazing gelato. We highly recommend Michele for your tour!

San Gimignano and Winery - Fabio was easy to communicate with ahead of tour and customized for our needs. Knowledgeable, flexible with changes and made a special day for us in Tuscany including a stop at winery for tasting and lunch. Taught us all about wine region and provided much historical reference. Would book with him in our future Italian adventures and recommend to friends who visit Tuscany region.

Fantastic tour with Michele from Withlocals - We had booked the City Escape with Michele. Due to some changes in our itinerary we asked to change to a walking tour of Florence, with some focus on food and interesting stories. Michele was very accommodating and altered the tour for us. We learned about the amazing history of Florence in an interesting and entertaining way. He is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and was able to hold our attention the whole way. He gave us some great recommendations of other things to do while in Florence. We had one of the best sandwiches of my life at a little place called Budellino. I would one hundred percent recommend a tour with Michele!

Highlight of our trip - We had a fantastic day with Michele. It was one of the highlights of our entire trip. We visited Piazzale Michaelangelo and the church above it (Chiesa di San Salvatore) for fantastic views of the city. Then we drove out to a family winery in Tuscany in Michele’s red minicooper for a fantastic lunch, wine tasting and amazing views of the Tuscany landscape. Then we visited San Gimignano, a medieval city where Michele previously lived, and Michele introduced us to many aspects of the medieval town which only a former local would know. The entire trip was like a drive in the countryside with a close friend. Michele also told us about Napolitan culture and language (since he’s originally from Napoli) and introduced us to contemporary Napolitan music artists. If you are interested in getting away from the tourist crowds in Florence for a day and want to breath in a bit of the Tuscany countryside, we highly recommend you book a day with Michele.

Beautiful scenery - Michele Was a wonderful host. He was very informative about the region. The winery that he suggested for lunch was wonderful and the food and host were excellent. I only gave four stars because of the vehicle that we wrote it. It was a small mini Cooper with two doors. It was a little difficult to get out of the backseat.
