Highlights
  • Sightseeing Experience Visitor Center (meeting point tourist assistance) - The tour departs from Florence city center early in the morning to reach Cinque Terre.
  • Levanto - Levanto is an ancient town nestled in a valley filled with olive trees, vines, and pines, directly overlooking the sea. If you choose the Transfer Only option, this is your drop-off point where you can begin your tour independently. The valley ridges meet the sea at the Mesco promontory and the tip of Levanto. Part of Levanto’s territory is within the Cinque Terre National Park and the Cinque Terre Marine Protected Area.
  • Cinque Terre - Cinque Terre is a rugged coastal stretch on the eastern Ligurian Riviera (La Spezia Riviera) in the province of La Spezia, between Punta Mesco and Punta di Montenero. It comprises five villages (three municipalities and two hamlets), historically referred to as “lands”: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore, listed from north to south.
  • Manarola - In Manarola, you can relax by swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, sample local products in the shops, or explore this small fishing village, which is part of a UNESCO heritage site.
  • Riomaggiore - Riomaggiore, like the other Cinque Terre villages, is situated between the Ligurian Sea and the steep mountain range that extends from the Apennines at Mount Zatta, descending southeast and acting as a watershed between the Val di Vara and the coastal area. The historic center, dating back to the 13th century, is located in the valley of the Rio Maggiore stream, the ancient Rivus Major, from which the village gets its name.
  • Vernazza - Vernazza is the second town of the Cinque Terre, located in a bay between Monterosso al Mare and Riomaggiore. It also includes the village of Corniglia, a part of Vernazza.
  • Monterosso al Mare - Monterosso al Mare is situated in a small natural gulf, protected by a modest artificial reef, east of Punta Mesco on the La Spezia Riviera. It is the westernmost part of the Cinque Terre.
  • Sightseeing Experience Visitor Center (meeting point tourist assistance) - Return in the evening to the same point in the city center.

Busy but Beautiful - Our tour guide Juliano was amazing! He worked so hard to ensure we all made it to the next transfer which was no easy task. I originally booked only the transfer but was glad I decided to upgrade last minute to the full tour as the villages get flooded with tourists and having someone guide you brings great relief. We were on our own in each village and were able to get a little taste of each one. It was an exhausting day but wonderful experience!

great experience - The guide was great, very patient and kind, we were able to visit the 5 towns, the transport was good, instructions clear, etc. However if you want to really enjoy each town do it yourself, that way you will have the time to relax and take the time to enjoy, the tour was amazing but a little bit fast.

A long but beautiful day - It was a beautiful tour. We visited 4 of the 5 towns, approximately an hour in each of them. It's not a lot of time, but they are small towns and it's enough to take a walk, eat something quick or drink something. It is not a tour for everyone; If you are someone who prefers to take a long time in each town, this tour is not the one for you. But if you want to take a look at several towns in one day, it's perfect. Our guide, Chiara, was very pleasant and attentive, and very knowledgeable about the region and its history. The first transportation is a bus from Florence to Levanto and takes approximately 2 hours. Chiara made the tour enjoyable and entertaining. The schedules are met as described in the tour and you must be punctual. It is a long but beautiful day, with wonderful landscapes and picturesque street dates that will remain in our memory. Recommended!

Nice but something’s to have in consideration - It was a very Nice day in general, but what they don’t tell you is that if you buy the transfer only option you will have to buy the cinque terre train daily pass that is 33€, so you will spend minimum of 87€. And just buy the upgrade if you want to go to the boat but also be in mind that sometimes the boats aren’t available because of the sea. I just updated my ticket when the guide assured me that the boat was available. After this tips, I will say that Cinque terre is absolutely stunning especially mazarola and the beach in Monterosso in so nice!

Flushed our money away - Worst experience ever, and no support from either Viator or the tour company. No words to express our disappointment.

Disastrous experience - We bought two tour tickets to Cinque Terre from Florence. And on the ticket it indicated time 7:30am. We arrived at the Santa María de Novela train station at 6am in the morning, we started communicating via WhatsApp, and no one responded. When we arrived at the window they told us that the excursion had left at 6:40am. Nobody informed us, nobody sent us an email. They quickly charged us €75 each person. And then zero customer service...They did not contact us before, or at any time. Terrible service and while at the tour company's window, we found out that there were 4 more people who had the same thing happen to them that same day. So that day, they left 6 people without the tour and on top of that they told us that there is no refund. We will raise this claim to the tourist service office of the European community. It seems to us to be a very poorly organized company. And they are too interested in charging for the tours and then THEY CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER
