San Gimignano downpour didn’t hamper our tour with Simon! - Rainy and blustery weather but Simon turned a dreary wet day into a memorable and informative tour! Even though there were times that the sky opened up with a torrential downpour, Simon’s demeanor and disposition overshadowed the weather and we thoroughly enjoyed the winery and tasting experience, slogging through San Gimignano, and our lunch at the home of a fantastic chef!

Wonderful guide, wonderful wine, wonderful tour! - We chose the Vernaccia and Saffron in San Gimignano tour based on my wife's love of white wine and after careful comparison of itineraries and reviews of tours from Florence. All that research paid off: Tommy is an outstanding, attentive & and informative guide with perfect English and extensive local knowledge. Both wineries we visited were beautiful and produced excellent wines, and our lunch was excellent (and I'm not a huge fan of saffron). San Gimignano is a gorgeous and fascinating town (be sure to visit the Dondoli Gelateria -- probably the best gelato we've ever had). We highly recommend touring with DeGustibus, and we will definitely be taking another tour with them on our next visit to Florence!

A wonderful and insightful way to discover the deeper aspects of the Tuscan region - The first tour was so interesting and fun, with a wonderful insight of the Tuscan people love and pride of the land and its produce, amazing wine tasting and food, that we had to book a second tour of beautiful Siena and San Gimignano within the week. Again, we were not disappointed. Gilberto is an exceptional person, friendly and pleasant to spend time with, reliable and communicative, with a deep love and knowledge of Florence and Tuscany. He is our go-to man in Florence and comes highly recommended. Thank you De Gustibus, we have made experiences and memories of a lifetime!

Best Birthday Ever with De GustibusTours! - Our private, full day tour with Gilberto was absolutely amazing. It was the true highlight of our visit to Florence/Tuscany as well as an extraordinary way to celebrate a birthday! Gilberto was informative, interesting, kind and funny. Each stop of our Tuscany Tour was delicious and visually captivating. The opportunity to visit a small, family run vineyard and a saffron farm was a unique and a rare opportunity to talk with local producers as well as taste extraordinary saffron dishes and fine wines. I highly recommend a tour with De Gustibus!! The communication, service and trip were ECCELLENTE!

Chainti Wine tour from Florence with Gilberto - My husband and I visited Florence and booked a wine tour with De Gustibus tours. Our guide for the day was Gilberto. What a wonderful trip. We felt like Andrew Zimmerman from the Food Network. Gilberto gave us a totally immersive tour. We visited Greve first and went to a local butcher and cheese shop in the town square called Antica Macelleria Falorni. Saw the aged cheese basement and the meats hanging to age. Gilberto told us about the process of the food, what animals it came from and the types. Then we went to the winery, Podere Meriggio Alle Falcole and to our hosts Loretta and Maurizio. Again Gilberto totally immersed us in the wine making process. When we finished the tour we met with Loretta and Maurizio to taste the wines. Loretta placed cheeses and italian meats on the table to pair with the wine. Tasted several wines all enjoyable. This is a definite must do for anyone.
