Great tour - Great tour for a good price. We liked our guide. We did not buy the lunch after the tour but kept buying water due to the heat. Definitely can recommend this tour to everyone. Thank you so much for a great experience.

Tikal was incredible - must do - I was so excited to visit Tikal and Henri, our guide, was amazing. He was so knowledgable and I was so impressed throughout the tour and thought it was incredible value for money. He went above and beyond. One thing to note that this is a physically demanding tour in the heat and humidity. I'm a fit and able person but just pointing out that someone who isn't may struggle. To give you an idea, we walked about 8km and an elevation max of 364m climbing temples.

Informative and helpful tour - We enjoyed our guided tour of Tikal. The place is huge, so it was good to have someone curate what we saw and direct us to the most significant monuments. Our guide was also knowledgeable about the local fauna and flora, so we saw and learned lots in a few hours.

Terrific Tikal Tour - We took this tour and I thought it was great and well worth the money. I don’t understand what the expensive tours provide that justifies their high price. We were driven from Flores in a nice mini bus, given a tour of all the main sights from our very knowledgeable guide. He made sure we had frequent water and bathroom breaks. It was a great tour.

Great Mayan and jungle tour - The Tikal tour was much more in depth than expected, we saw a lot of Mayan ruins and experienced the jungle with opportunity for wildlife watching. Be prepared for the tour to stop for guests to have breakfast and lunch at a restaurant (30-45 mins break), some guests bought their own lunches with them. The walking and climbing the stairs was quite tiring, wear good walking shoes and bring water. The group was 15-20 people and the bus was full.

Okay Tour Overall But It Needs A Better Coordinator - The air conditioned bus (transporting ~20 tourists) and the tour itself is decent. You need 150 Guatemalan Quetzals in cash per person (no dollars, no credit cards). On the tour, you cover the major temples, which is about half the site. If you are in decent shape, you can easily cover the entire site. But the group moves slowly, and the guide keeps stopping to explain more than you care to know in English and Spanish. The trails are well labeled with maps in major spots and placards explaining the different temples in both English and Spanish. It's possible to explore it all on your own. Apparently, there is a cheaper option to go without a guide and just pay for transportation. But I didn't see this option on Viator. Unfortunately, the trip started off badly because of the coordinator. As soon as we arrived at the meeting point, he approached us and asked to see our ticket. (He only speaks Spanish, but luckily my wife and I can speak it too.) He saw our ticket, confirmed my name on a list in his phone, and told us to wait by the buses. He then walks over to a bus and starts loading people on it as they arrive. There are several buses departing at the same time for different tours, so we waited for him to tell us which one to get on. After 10 minutes of him ignoring us, I approach him to ask which bus is ours. He completely didn't remember me. I showed him the ticket and my name again, and there was no recognition that he just talked with me. After taking several phone calls and helping someone else, he finally checked the same list on his phone again, saw my name, and told me this was our bus. By now, almost all the seats were taken, so my wife and I weren't happy. After everyone is on the bus, he tells the group that the park entrance ticket can only be paid in local cash. (The listing in Viator is unclear on this. You must have local currency!) He starts asking if everyone has enough cash or if the bus needs to stop at an ATM on the way. My wife and I each shouted 3 times that we needed to stop to get more cash, but he ignored us. He just asked the other tourists - do you have enough cash? You do? Oh good. We don't need to stop then. I literally had to scream at the top of my lungs to get his attention. In the awkward pause that followed, he finally acknowledged us and told the driver we needed to stop at the ATM. Luckily, he left the bus shortly after, and I didn't have to interact with this idiot ever again.
