Highlights
  • Du Toitskloof Pass - We offer this in 2 separate experiences, Fresh-water river fishing and Salt-water estuary fishing.

Fresh-Water:
We will be fly-fishing for Rainbow and Brown Trout in what is known as the Cape Streams, beautiful crystal-clear waters that run in and around the Worcester / Paarl mountains. We use light tackle sight fishing for these beautiful wild trout on predominantly dry fly, and the thrill is always phenomenal!
The environment and the river we will be in is stunningly picturesque.
I document your day with loads of pictures and videos when you catch and then we release the fish back into the streams. This is a humbling experience yet filled with excitement.
We’ll provide a light lunch and river snacks made with locally sourced foods unique to South Africa.

Salt-Water:
We will be targeting large preditorial Leery/Garrick fish that hunt smaller bait fish in an increbible estuary near Cape Town, this is done by fly fishing off a small boat or on foot with waders.

Awesome time flats fishing for leer fish - I had a great time with Kyle on an 1/2 day saltwater estuary trip. Easy to book on viator. He contacted me and he set up the transportation to and from my hotel in Cape Town, brought snacks and water, and provided gear (included) and boots (additional charge). We waded a flat near Cape Town for hard fighting leer fish. He put me on fish and I landed my first (and second) African leerey on the fly. Also had some other vicious strikes that I flat out missed. I’m a fly fishing guide in the US so I have pretty high standards when I hire guides for myself. Kyle exceeded expectations and is an all around great guy that shares the same passion for the sport. I also found out that he does guided hikes up Table and Lionshead Mtn. If I ever get back to Cape Town again, I’ll be hiring him for another adventure chasing trout or leeries. FYI- if you want to chase trout, make sure you book early as he has to purchase a river pass for the day of the trip in advance. I booked on a Friday for a Monday trip which didn’t give him ample time to grab a beat.
