Worth a Visit - A very good trip, well organised with great staff who were very informative. Jonny and Donna were our hosts and couldn’t have been better, clear instructions and lots of information. There is very little peddling to do as the rail bikes have an electric motor which powers the bikes. When we arrived at the end of the trail, Jonny took the group on a 25 minute walk explaining lots of facts about the trees and the history of the Skunk Railway. Overall a very good 2.5 hours.

Railbiking was the highlight of our trip! - So much fun! We loved everything about the rail bike experience, from our guides to the scenery to the bike itself. I loved having no walls or windows around me, just feeling the breeze as we moved ourselves forward. The pedals are quite easy to operate with the electric battery boost when needed. Yet we could also choose to get more exercise if we wanted to. It was great for both of our knees. The seats were really comfortable also. I remember thinking, golly, almost anyone can do this, from age 8 to 88! On reaching the destination, after a ahort break, we opted to go on the guided trail hike. Great experience. Our guide Xochil (pron. SO-chi) related a lot of interesting information about redwoods and forest ecology, and did so clearly and sincerely. Clear and sincere, a great combination. Her personal passion for the forest really came across and made us feel passionate too. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. I want to come back with friends!

Pricey, but a fun experience. - The experience was fun, a nice change to try something different. The weather was beautiful and the scenery was very pretty. We really enjoyed Marcus one of our guides. We went on a mile hike with him during the lunch break. I think it is a bit pricey for the area and the overall experience. The lunch break needs no more than 45 minutes max. We had trouble with our car but managed to have a great time anyway.

Great, Fun Evening - We had a great time on the Rail bikes. We did both the Rail bikes and the train. We liked both very much but probably preferred the rail bikes because you get to see a little more of the scenery that way. We went to Blair Woods and listened to Johnny play music in the evening. That was a lot of fun as it's very lively with bon fires and games you can play. We really enjoyed our time there and thought Johnny was great with the music. Would definitely go again.
