Fantastic Day in Martinique - What a great way to spend the day in Martinique. We started out late as two attendees did not show up to the meeting point. Notwithstanding, Daniel made up for the lost time and made sure our day was still the best. Daniel has found a wide variety of experiences to show his group all the best Martinique has to offer. Be ready to get a little muddy, be prepared to jump into the water and plan for an amazing day.

An Adventure in Martinique - We really enjoyed the entire tour. Daniel, our guide and driver, was prompt and exactly where we were supposed to meet him off the dock area. There were 8 passengers to a bus and we had 2 buses. Since it was a small group, Daniel was very accommodating to the passengers even rotating seats so people had a chance to sit up front with him to get a better view of the terrain. Although the weather was a bit uncooperative, it was a very pleasant day in Martinique. To maximize the experience, I would highly recommend this tour for those in good physical health due to the excessive walking up and down steps. You can do as much or as little as you’d like, but to truly appreciate the falls requires maneuvering a good amount of tricky steps and the botanical gardens is quite hilly. As retired educators, we enjoyed Daniel’s enthusiasm for having us experience the smelling and guessing of various spices and flavors found in Martinique. Our last stop was lunch by the beach, at our expense, which we shared with a lovely couple from the UK. This was quite an interesting adventure.

He took us to interesting and beautiful places as well as a delicious restaurant for lunch and recommended special dish - Daniel was an amazing guide who went out of his way to make sure that all of us were involved and that our needs were met. He was interesting and well informed. When the ferry that was supposed to take us back to our cars did not arrive, he came and picked us up, and drove us to our cars.

What a great trip … fun and informative - We met Daniel and oue other travellers. There were only 7 of us and the van was air conditioned and he rotated us around so we all got to sit up front. Our guide Daniel was very knowledgable, kind and funny and we had a great time. We went to waterfalls, the botanical garden, the church and smeared ourselves in mud and swam and went and tasted very very strong rum - haha. Daniel sent us perfect instructions on where to meet and what time, he took lots of pics and had towels for her. He also took us somewhere next to the beach where we could have food, drinks and by the end we knew our fellow travellers more than the start. We had a great day.

Memorable day trip - Had a lovely day trip. Our guide Daniel really made our experience even more memorable. Very clear instructions for meeting point. He was very knowledgable and had a brilliant lively personality. Enjoyed each of our stop off points and got some great photos, especially at the waterfall and stream where we could apply natural clay to ourselves and under high pressure to remove. Thanks again Daniel .

If you want to see it all… do this!! - We found this excursion very good. Daniel is on time and kept a tight schedule to make sure we were able to see everything that was promised. He’s very knowledgeable and a funny guy. If you are looking to lay on the beach all day and sunbathe, this is not the excursion for you. Be ready to walk and explore, if you have trouble with that, I recommend avoiding this. I also agree with his punctuality rules, he’s easy to find and communicates way ahead of time to make sure you are aware of where to meet him and he even sends a photo of himself with a descriptor. He gets to the port really early to make sure everything goes smooth, so if you are late and make the group late… there is a high chance you will be left behind, so be on time it’s not that much to ask to respect the group schedule. Overall, great excursion and he takes you where the ship excursions do not!

Get the cruise boat tour and sign up for this instead. - If you're into trees and flowers I would highly recommend this are guide was extremely knowledgeable about all botany. He kept us interested with lots of smash and sniffing of different plants. Making sure to point out every different plant possible. The room distillery was quite interesting very pretty. The cathedral was very pretty for as old. You might want to bring an extra roll of toilet paper with you for this tour as I found several of the locations were missing TP ladies. The waterfall was absolutely stunning also in our guides helped us to get some amazing pictures. Overall I would give this a 4.5.

Might get stuck with a driver and not the guide - First of all, Daniel is a great tour guide and made the day fun. However, even though it says 8 people max, that only applies to the van and not the tour. My wife and I got put in Roger’s van, and while he was very nice, he didn’t say much. I feel like Daniel’s group had a much better experience. For example, some other reviews said that Daniel rotated people’s seats in the van so everybody got a turn up front. Roger didn’t, so we were stuck in the back in silence the whole time. Then two of our group took a long time shopping at the rum distillery and Roger didn’t hurry them up, so Daniel’s group got to lunch much before us while we had to wait around in the van. Another thing is that lunch is served way too late. The tour started at 9 AM and we didn’t have lunch until past 2:30 PM, and that’s after sampling rum on an empty stomach! So I recommend bringing your own food. It also advertised free WiFi, but I assume that was only in Daniel’s van because ours didn’t have it. On the plus side, the botanical garden was our favorite stop as Daniel showed us all kinds of edible and medicinal plants. Overall, it was a decent tour that would have been much better with only one van (Daniel’s). As it is, I can’t say I learned much about Martinique.
