Begin your journey with the Saint-Louis Cathedral and Schoelcher Library in the Capital City. Experience the panoramic views and subtly Parisian air at the miniature version of the legendary Sacred Heart Basilica,. Take in even more breathtaking sights while enjoying sweeping vistas of Fort-de-France. As you traverse La Trace Road, you’ll see bamboo, ferns and forest flora dotting your route. In Saint -Pierre, take in sights of the Alma River and The Saut Gendarme Waterfall. Your journey will culminate at the foot of the volcano where you can appreciate bay scenes from an old rum distillery and savor some Agricole-Rum made from sugar-cane juice. Explore St. Pierre, a city once destroyed by Mount Pelee and later rebuilt, which used to be a cultural-economic hub. Take a tour of the ruins from the devastating 1902 volcano eruption that radically altered the island, where you’ll see the ruins of the theater and the prison.
