Glimpse Behind the Skyscrapers of Today - Loved learning about history of the area. Steps from the new high rise buildings are the one and two story structures that started it all including the rails that brought down the first tourists. You could tell how much our guide loved history and the whys behind why the city grew in the way it did.

Educational and fun at the KC House! - We toured both the museum and KC House with our tour guide, Daniel. He has a wealth of knowledge of pioneer Floridians and the important historic figures that made the FtL area what it is! Not only was our time there educational, but it was entertaining as we compared life now to life in pioneering days. Make sure you partake in the tour and hang out in this beautiful part of the City on the River!

Visit to the Fort Lauderdale History Museum - We moved to a town near Fort Lauderdale 2 years ago but did not know the town's history. We decided to visit the museum and thoroughly enjoyed the tour! We selected the guided tour which is a self-guided tour in the main building and a tour of a replica of the first schoolhouse and a resident house. The tour guide was awesome and did a great job of explaining the history of the area. The self-guided tour was also good, but I suggest the guided tour because you receive a more in-depth view of the history and can ask questions. Whether you are resident or visitor, I strongly recommend a visit to this museum!
