Joined by your naturalist guide, experience an exhilarating airboat ride through the Western Everglades, encounter wildlife on a drive across the Big Cypress National Preserve, marvel at magnificent cypress trees during a nature walk, and indulgently drift along on a tranquil boat cruise through mangrove-filled waters, casting an eye out for manatees, dolphins, and ospreys. Great Day in the Everglades - We had a great all day excursion with Everglades Day Safari. We left out of the Fort Myers area. Our guide, Rachel, was a safe driver and knew some ways to avoid the traffic. She was also very knowledgeable about the many birds and water fowl that we saw and was very personable. We did three activities that are worthy enough on their own. Our first stop was at Ten Thousand Islands for a nature walk. It was a beautiful area and we saw a variety of birds and water fowl. It was also a nice break from the drive. The next stop was in Everglades City for a Mangrove Wilderness Boat Ride and lunch. The boats held a maximum of 6 people and the local guides were fantastic. Our guide found a pod of dolphins that was a highlight of the day. Finally, we stopped at Lake Trafford for an airport ride. Our drive was obviously experienced and we saw a lot of gators and even more birds. I highly recommend this trip.

Informative and Fun Adventure! - This mid 70s foursome spent a long, happily exhausting day on this Everglades Adventure and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Rachel, our guide, was so knowledgeable on multiple topics related to nature, the environment, and history of the area. Her background of knowledge was impressive A highlight was the airboat tour through the swamps - big birds galore and alligators of every size. Another was the dolphins playing in the wake of our motor boat. The tour was very well organized from beginning to end

The most fun excursion: Everglades fan boat! - The fan boat ride is so much fun. The most surprising thing to me was the striking beauty of the Everglades: Gorgeous flowers, foliage, trees, etc. We saw so many exotic birds; it was amazing. We even held snakes and a baby gator. Awesome! We live here part-time, and this was our second visit, and we will go again. Toss out any preconceptions and go! You won't regret it. Lia was our tour guide, and she was amazing and full of knowledge.

Awesome adventure! - Very enjoyable activity. Pete was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We saw a bunch of birds and even one alligator on the walk. The airboat ride was awesome—we saw a ton of alligators and birds! I liked being able to hold the alligoyor and some snakes as well. Great excursion for people of all ages!

The best everglades tour - The most amazing everglades tour! Had such a blast on the airboat and getting to meet and learn about the captive snakes and alligators! Very entertaining and educational, I highly recommend!

Fascinating and Fun - My husband and I and our 23 year old son enjoyed our day with Pete immensely!
He was a very engaging and thoughtful guide as well as a very knowledgeable speaker on a wide variety of issues and topics regarding the Everglades past and present.
We had a beautiful day and spotted many types of wild and marine life. We felt Pete and both boat captains put in much effort to try and find the most interesting and exciting scenes for our enjoyment and exploration.
We spotted many types of birds, crocodiles , turtles and the highlight of the day was a pod of dolphins that swam for a long time within arms length of our boat- so exciting! Got fantastic footage :)
Lunch was tasty and service was great in a lovely local restaurant with a very friendly vibe.
It was a full day that flew by with so much to see and absorb and definitely walked away appreciating the Everglades with all that we discovered and learned.

Absolutely amazing Must do - Absolutely amazingly Must do! Pete started us out on our bus tour with a list of birds for bird spotting! Throughout the day we ended up with almost 30 different birds. We took a short nature walk and Pete showed us different plants, berries, animals etc. Then we went on an air boat touring the Everglades. We saw alligators and snakes! We stopped at a nice island cafe for lunch. We went on another boat tour of the Everglades and stopped at an antique shopping store. Pete knows so much history of the Indians, Collier and the area.

Everglades Safari - Amazing day! Saw a few gators and snakes and tons of birds. Pete really made the trip special with his knowledge of plants and animals. I was particularly impressed with the history he shared of the Everglades and the indigenous tribes. Would do it all over again the next time we’re back here.
