Kibale Forest National Park - Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading to Kibale Forest National Park, renowned as the primate capital of the world. This forest hosts 13 primate species, more than any other forest, including mangabeys, vervet monkeys, black and white colobus, baboons, and bush babies. It also boasts numerous butterfly and bird species. Arrive in time for lunch, check into your lodge, and unwind.
Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary - Consider taking a walk through the Bigodi swamp, which borders Kibale Forest, where some primates can occasionally be spotted. The sanctuary is also home to various bird species, such as fish eagles, herons, kingfishers, and bee-eaters.

Kibale National Park - Start your day early with breakfast, then proceed to Kyanyanchu Park headquarters for a briefing on the guidelines for chimpanzee tracking. Venture into the tropical rainforest to find man’s closest relatives, the chimpanzees. Once located, spend an hour observing their fascinating behavior before returning to your lodge to relax.
Journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park - After a hearty breakfast, travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey takes you through the scenic Kasenda crater lakes region. Enjoy lunch followed by a boat safari on the Kazinga channel, where you can spot crocodiles, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, and water birds. This channel connects Lakes George and Edward and is renowned for its high concentration of hippos. Afterwards, head to your safari lodge to relax.
Morning and Evening Game Drives
Queen Elizabeth National Park - Begin your day with an early breakfast and embark on a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector, known for its antelope mating grounds and predator hunting areas, including lions and leopards. The drive lasts 3 to 4 hours and concludes at Lake George’s shores. Return to the lodge for lunch, then enjoy an evening game drive in the Kabatoro sector, famous for large herds of elephants, buffaloes, and waterbucks.

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before traveling to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to over half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Access the forest via Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its rare tree-climbing lions. Keep an eye out for these majestic cats resting in fig trees, along with elephants, buffaloes, topi, waterbucks, and leopards.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to mountain gorillas and other wildlife. Arrive and relax at your lodge.
Gorilla Trekking
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Rise early and head to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing on gorilla trekking before entering the dense forest. Be prepared for a trek lasting one to six hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, spend an unforgettable hour with these magnificent creatures. The mountain gorilla is the most powerful and muscular primate on earth. Expect to encounter other wildlife, including black and white colobus monkeys, L’hoest’s monkeys, bushbucks, olive baboons, forest elephants, and various bird species. Afterwards, return to your lodge to relax or visit a Batwa community, the original inhabitants of Bwindi Forest.
