Unforgettable Skye - My husband and I took part in this 3-day tour that went far beyond our expectations. We were fascinated by the nature of Skye and, despite the not always favorable weather, everything went well thanks to the experience of our guide Angel, who made this tour an unforgettable experience that we recommend to everyone. On this tour were perfect stops to admire wonderful places, explanations and humor of Angel and the people we met. That's great!

Exceptional - We had an incredible three-day tour with Gillian, the friendliest tour guide I’ve ever met. Her storytelling brought Scotland’s rich history to life, and her deep knowledge of Scottish culture made the journey even more fascinating. Every stop along the route was well-planned, giving us ample time to explore, take in the scenery, and capture beautiful photos. She also provided convenient pick-up and drop-off services in Portree (Isle of Skye) and recommended excellent restaurants for dinner, which was a thoughtful touch. One of the highlights of the trip was spotting Scottish wildlife. Gillian knew exactly where to find them, and we had the unforgettable experience of feeding carrots to Highland cows (hairy coos)! We also saw two shaggy-haired horses, lamas, sheep, and goats, which added to the charm of the adventure. Another unforgettable aspect was the captivating old Scottish tales Gillian shared—stories of fairies, ghosts, and witches that gave the journey a magical touch. To be honest, this tour exceeded our expectations in every way. I would highly recommend Timberbush Trips to anyone looking for an unforgettable Scottish adventure!

Amazing Scottsih Highlands and Isle of Skye - First and foremost, our guide Gilian was amazing. Her knowledge about Scottish history was amazing. She was very pleasing and easy to talk to. Overall, Good tour but can be better. Their were very few photo stops in the Glencoe region which for us specifically was they main attraction for taking the tour. Isle of Sky and day 3 was very good but Day 1 we gelt was rushed up.

Be careful with this company!!!!! - I had booked my 3-Day Isle of Skye, Highlands, and Loch Ness Tour from Edinburgh, on 15th January 2025 and was due to go on the trip on 4th February 2025 only to be told it is cancelled 3 days before the trip (Saturday, 1st February 2025) - reason being - ‘Not Enough People’.  I was flying in from abroad specifically for this trip, and had purchased flight tickets to Edinburgh, accommodation in Edinburgh and pre-booked accommodation, restaurants etc, in Portree (Isle of Skye), along with the essential tour equipment which the tour operator specifically highlights. Everything had been pre-booked and pre-paid in advance as this is something the Tour Operator stressed is a must (they sent 3 identical emails during January stressing the need to pre-booking the restaurants etc.). I had decided to book my own accommodation in Portree because if you book the Tour with accommodation they charge c.£495 whereas the tour without accommodation is only £175 and the same accommodation in the centre of Portree is £128 for 2 nights, therefor saving you in the region of £200.  Unfortunately, due to the Tour’s last minute cancellation, I was unable to cancel my bookings with a full refund. The booking could be cancelled literally 4 days before the trip and the company decided to cancel my tour 3 days before the trip, even though they are stated that you can make amendments only seven days prior to your trip. Which didn’t stop them from a full cancellation three days before my trip. I find their last minute cancellation to be extremely unprofessional given that they are fully aware tourists come specifically for this tour and are told to pre-book everything in advance.  At the end of the day, it’s not about money for me. I was extremely excited to see the Isle of Skye which was my childhood dream. But the way the company stopped the communication via emails when they understood that their policies are wrong is unacceptable. I still have screenshots of their cancellation policies (which they have changed right after this incident without any recompensation or even adequate sincere apology or answers to my emails). This is not the way the business is done. I used to work in this field myself and I believe this company, despite the amazing reviews, is unprofessional in providing adequate communication and taking responsibility for their mistakes. Starting quarrels with me that they are disagree with “my assertions that they acted unfairly and unprofessionally” and then eventually stopping answering a customer’s emails and quickly changing their policies when they understood they were wrong is unacceptable for a serious management/company and it’s simply ridiculous. With this in mind, I would strongly suggest, if you can drive or have anyone with you who can do it, rent a car and enjoy the exploration of all the hidden gems of the island. There is so much information on the internet you can find and use for free without paying nearly 200£ just for the ride on a mini bus. I sincerely hope that your experience will be much better than mine. But I feel that I have to share my story preventing people from making same mistakes. You don’t have to overpay. You don’t have to get disappointed. You can make your own experience without losing your time and your nerve cells.
