An experience you'll not forget... Great tour - A long trip but worth the effort and you get to see a small part of Senegal. The park is ok but you can spot some lovely animals and birds during the drive. The trip across the River is amazing, as I had to be carried to the small boats.. something you don't do everyday! Try the Lion Walk when you get there... great to get close to these beautiful beasts.

A taste of Gambia - We has an excellent trip to Fathalawa last Friday 5 Jan. Very informative guide on the journey and at Fathalawa. We saw zebra, antelope, giraffes, rhino amongst other, plus ate delicious pizza there. Our trip was just short of 12 hours. It is a long journey, but think of it as exploring Gambia with an interesting commentary plus a chance to experience the Kunta Kinteh ferry and all the hustle and bustle. Excellent value for money and a once in a lifetime experience

An amazing Safari tour with an amazing local host - thanks again Pablo - I’ve had a Safari in Africa on my bucket list for some time and Fathalq didn’t disappoint! Out your guide really did his thing and has the process down to a science. I had read about Ferry wait times and patience being needed for this trip but Pablo is on time and prompt for pick up and sorted the Ferry tickets, boarder entry at Sengal and your guides at Fathalq. All in a smooth day and the Safari was awesome. If you plan to do the lion walk make sure you bring cash as Gambia is a cash economy so most places don’t take card. And you will to pay for the yellow fever stamp at Sengal boarder. If you’re in Gambia for at least a week check out Fathalq and other tours Pablo offers :-)

A great day out - We visited the safari park as part of a day out from Gambia, the journey there was long, tiring, yet very interesting. We saw most of the animals the park has to offer and were allowed to get out of the land rover near the giraffes for better photos. The rangers that accompany each vehicle are very knowledgeable and informative and are happy to ensure the best photo opportunities occur. All in all a great afternoon.

Good guidance in the park. - Guides knew how to spot the animals well. The rainy season had just ended, so the green was still very high. This allowed the animals to hide well and we could not see them as well.

Pablo rates 5 stars but the tour rates 4 overall - Pablo gets 5 stars. However, there is a lot of travel involved before you visit the park to see the animals and you spend time waiting in queues to leave Gambia, enter Senegal, leave Senegal and enter Gambia again. That said, the animals are amazing, and the guides really give you a great experience.

Not a safari but still a great experience - This is not a safari, but a wildlife park. Even so it was fascinating seeing these animals in a wild environment. If travelling from The Gambia the trip is an experience in itself, especially travelling on the ferry from Banjul to Barra and through border control into Senegal. You don’t need a yellow fever certificate as you can pay 600 Delasi as border control if need be. At the park itself we were lucky enough to see the rhino, zebras, giraffes, antelope and warthogs close up. The tour was about 2 hours with a knowledgeable guide. We didn’t do the walking with lions tour. Afterwards we were treated to wonderful pizza for lunch. We toured with Gambian Tours from The Gambia. It was expensive but worth the money for peace of mind as our guide, Kalle, handled all the ticketing and passport and yellow fever certificate issues.
