Fox Glacier - Spend up to 3 hours hiking on the Fox Glacier, The fly-in, fly-out heli hike combines the excitement of walking on the Te Moeka o Tuawe/Fox Glacier with the thrill of helicopter flights. By flying in you can access and explore a part of the glacier where its forces work hardest and often create spectacular ice caves and arches. You will be outfitted with boots and crampons specially designed for these ice conditions. You follow the ice steps cut by your guide as you explore the amazing formations.
Please note that this is a natural and ever-changing environment. Ice features change constantly and no guarantee can be given that specific features will be seen. This is a weather dependent trip.

The fly-in, fly-out helihike combines the excitement of walking on the Fox Glacier with the thrill of helicopter flights. By flying in you are able to access and explore a part of the glacier where its forces work hardest and often create spectacular ice caves and arches. Each departure is a true voyage of exploration. There are so many changing features that the guides always find something new. Weather permitting; ice time is up to 3 hours.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Minimum Age is 9 years
- Child Age is 9-16 years inclusive
- Minimum numbers apply
- Subject to favourable weather conditions, a weather call is made 10 minutes prior to check in so flexibility in your itinerary is desirable
- Individual passenger weight limit is 116 kg or less due to weight and balance calculations of the aircraft

Amazing experience - An absolutely incredible experience. Spectacular scenery. Had a full 3 hours walking on the glacier. Got to go through ice tunnels and caves. Staff were amazing. It is an experience that you will not forget. Would highly recommend.

Get some ice under your boots - Experienced guiding, great views and time for exploration on the Glacier added up to a wonderful time. Everything is provided or you can use some of your own gear.

Great way to experience Fox glacier. - Wonderful time on Fox glacier. Got rescheduled to the next day and were so lucky as the sun was out after hail and thunderstorm. Outstanding experience. Our guides (from NZ and NL) were excellent and made this tour very special and super interesting for us. Thank you!!!

If you get the perfect day you will not be disappointed. - The was the greatest experience, right from the safety briefing to the debriefing. The guides were great and so much fun. This was my absolute favourite experience in my NZ holiday. Highly recommend!

Worthy - I had an incredible experience on the Fox Glacier ice trekking tour! The entire activity was well worth it, offering breathtaking views and an unforgettable adventure. Our guide was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and always made sure we were safe and having fun. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this activity to anyone considering it; it's truly a must-do if you're in the area!

Very professional and fun! - An amazing helicopter ride with fantastic views. Learning how to use crampons, seeing the blue, blue ice and walking into a crevasse were highlights. The staff were super professional and safety conscious.

An absalute must do! - We have never been on a helicopter or seen a glacier so this was a very exciting trip for us! We weren't disappointed. Our guide Rhys (not sure if that's the right spelling) was so knowledgeable and fun! He made the trip even more enjoyable. We learnt so much, and felt super safe. We had a perfectly clear day and will remmeber this trip for a lifetime!

Best day in NZ! - The guides are the best at Fox Glacier Guiding, we went with Toa and had a great time! He made sure that everyone in the group (12 ppl) had enough time to see, stop, and explore on the glacier. He was super informative, funny, and made sure to keep us safe. Would recommend to everyone!

Majestic - Highly recommend!! The helicopter flight in alone was amazing. Then we had a full 3 hours hiking around and exploring the glacier. So beautiful and amazing!
