The long but teaching you a lot day, - The long but teaching you a lot day, We had a great time visiting both places in a single day. If I had the chance to do it again, I wouldn't hesitate, even though it was quite a long day. It would be fantastic to have more than 24 hours in a day to explore further.

Highly Recommend - This trip was very special and we enjoyed it very much. It was a great way to get a taste for both D-Day and Mont Saint Michel. For a more in-depth experience, you would really need to spend a few days in that region. We did not have that option so this was perfect for us. We visited the American Cemetery which was deeply moving. The museum was really well done and our guide, Helen, really tied that information in with the overall history and events of the time. We visited the graves and the chapel as well. We enjoyed a delightful lunch with Helen and then topped it off with a visit to Omaha beach. It was a lovely experience and Helen is full of fascinating information that brings the experience to life for the visitor. My family really enjoyed this experience, particularly because we have a long history of military service connected with France. TIP - bring a windbreaker or a coat as it is always very windy here! If you have a relative here, locate their name on the wall in the rose garden behind the monument. We chose to eat in a wonderful restaurant by the beach at Omaha Beach. This was the best choice because the restaurants at Mont St Michel are very crowded and would have taken up a lot more time. It also provide a more intimate (quiet) environment where we could better hear all the information that Helen was sharing with us. Really made such a difference to the quality and depth of the experience! We headed to Mont Saint Michel next. What an incredible place! We arrived in plenty of time to take our tour, however, for some inexplicable reason, the Abbey had shut down the visits. But where a door closes, another window opens when minds work together. We discovered there would be Vespers in the Abbey a bit later and we could attend that. So, Helen arranged for us to stay a bit longer so we could actually attend. It turned out to be something we will all remember for a long time. Best outcome for sure - just a few people, in the Abbey, with the Nuns and Monks singing their vespers with but about 10 other people. It was beautiful. Tip: you might want to start with Mont St. Michel in the morning to accomplish 2 things: 1) the longest drive is over first instead of last. 2) you will not have be concerned the tours will close unexpectedly early (even though Helen had never experienced this issue in the past). Better to be safe than sorry!. Tip #2: Let Helen know before you come of the historical aspects you are most interested in so she can share those stories and information with you. She know so much! It was a long day, for sure. Don't plan anything the next morning as you will want time to rest after that day. But a HUGE shout out to Helen, our young, very knowledgeable, extremely personable guide. We enjoyed her company very much. And also to our driver, who was so agreeable to the change of plans last minute and delivered us safely everywhere we went. You both worked to make our experience as special as it was and we were thrilled with the day and your company. Thank you! Merci!

Great Getaway Day Trip From Paris! - Fantastic tour and guide! We didn’t have much time because we were in Paris for the Olympics. We wanted to visit both Omaha Beach & Mount St Michel on the same day. This was the only company I could find that did both. It was a luxury vehicle and our group of four felt like rock stars! Highly recommended!

Normandy and Mont st-Michel in a day - It is a long trip covering both places. Our driver and guide were excellent. We spent just enough time in Normandy to see the main sites and we were off to mont saint michel. Here we had time for lunch and visit the abbey at leisure. We did not spend time walking on the beach as we were not prepared. We came in a Tesla, so about 25 minutes were needed each way to charge the car.

The company I trust with my tours two years in a row - We had an incredible day traveling to Normandy, especially to the stunning Mont St. Michel! Our experience with Tour Up in Europe was exceptional. Nataly, our guide, was absolutely spectacular. She was extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful, educated, and professional. We highly recommend her to everyone! Nataly made us feel very comfortable and turned our trip into a magical experience. She is fluent in multiple languages and will tell you everything you need to know about France. We also visited the D-Day beaches, which were profoundly significant for us. The historical depth and the stories shared made this part of the trip especially moving. Additionally, our driver, Abdulah, provided a smooth and luxurious ride. His driving skills were impeccable, enhancing the overall experience. Our day was truly special, creating memories that will last a lifetime. If you ever need a guide, please look up Nataly. You won’t be disappointed. Whether your interests lie in history, food, wine, culture, or anything else, Tour Up in Europe will take care of it. P.S. It is not the first time I let this company to organise my trip!

Worth it - Just a heads-up: the drive is a tag long (over 3 hours), so you might want to plan for a more relaxed day afterward. But it’s absolutely worth it! The historical charm of the abbey simply took my breath away. Seeing it with your own eyes is truly sublime. Plus, the tour was well-organized, with all pickups on time.

Rushed, but a great experience - Was a rush visit, could’ve spent all day at each location, but it was better to see each for a little bit rather than not at all. It was a great experience, would love to go back. Tour guide Emily was very sweet and accommodating. Driver Alex did a great job getting us there and back.

Spent a whole lot of money for not a very good experience! - I had paid for and expected a personal guided trip in a luxury car. We ended up with a tour guide who had only been in Paris for 7 months. All the questions we asked her she could not answer. It was a most disappointing and disheartening trip.

Unprofessional / Unprepared and Unethical Tour Operator - This is a completely unprofessional and unethical tour operator. Based on my experience not a large tour operator and likely a 1 or 2 person shop that takes your information and assigns a Uber driver to be your private car and an inexperienced college student to be your "professional" tour guide. I would read the other negative reviews, so you know what to expect ahead of time if you take the risk of using this company. The tour guide is likely an inexperienced college student who googled the sites for basic facts the day and didn't have detailed knowledge about the places or sites. In fact stated many inaccuracies when I asked him questions. Frustrating when you have a private tour and ask where are the major places in Normandy to see the bunkers, etc and he doesn't know. We were already lost at the 1st site and walking to nowhere which made the day longer. I let him and Valerie know during the tour and was texted back just finish the tour and happy to get feedback afterwards. I sent her feedback that night. She never responded. Because the tour was completely nothing as promised in the listing I disputed with my credit card company and Valerie's response was to make up lies that I was in fact very happy and smiling and likely unhappy because of an unrelated tour the day before. Total lies. I didn't have a tour the day before and was in fact at the women's gymnastics all round finals and had a great time. Luckily had text messages with Valerie proving that and other "inaccuracies" exposing her lies. Proceed with extreme caution with this tour operator and if you decide to take a gamble. Here are some best practices. 1. Communicate only via text message with Valerie and tour guide. Even if you let the tour guide know you are not happy in person during the tour, send that person a text message anyway so that it's documented if you decide to dispute because they will simply make up stories to justify their positions in the absence of proof. 2. Take pictures of the car you pay extra for because what you paid for may not be what you end up getting as I previously mentioned they don't have a fleet of private cars, but a network of Uber drivers. Document, document, document. Know that you are paying for an inexperienced college student who may or may not speak the language you chose to be your tour guide and an Uber driver who may or may not speak the language your chose to be your private car. As long you are ok with that you should be fine. Or, you could just hire your own Uber driver and google or use the guided tours at the sites yourself for a much better and knowledgable experience and save yourself the disappointment and frustration. As to how they have the Viator "Badge of Excellence" is beyond me. Good luck to you.

Unprepared and unprofessional - Tour Up in Europe is a very unprepared and unprofessional guide service, which you should only use if you do not want to receive the tour you purchased. We booked the Normandy tour on the 80th anniversary of D-DAY; however, the company did not attain the required permit to visit the historical sites on the anniversary. The other tour operators were able to provide their clients the experience of visiting on the 80th anniversary as they had attained the proper permit, which was clearly posted on the Normandy website stating tour operators needed the pass. Long story short, ten hours in a car and unable to experience the historic celebration that we signed up for.
