Additional Information

There are endless opportunities to immerse yourself in bourbon at the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. You can explore distillery tours, sample bourbon, take part in cocktail workshops, and more. However, we offer an exclusive perspective of the bourbon industry—a view from the water!

Why does this matter? Kentucky holds three secrets to producing superior bourbon: corn, expertise, and limestone filtered spring water! Indeed, without the Kentucky River’s limestone filtered spring water, bourbon may never have come into existence. Curious to know why? That’s precisely what we delve into during our tour. Join us to understand how the history of our state has shaped the identity and moniker of bourbon.

Our Captains are not only skilled seafarers, but they’re also excellent historical narrators. They’ll captivate you with unique, rarely shared tales, offering insights unavailable elsewhere or presenting the story in a more comprehensive manner than what’s available on board the boat. Don’t just take our word for it—take a look at our glowing reviews on Trip Advisor!

Fun afternoon in Frankfort - A relaxing and informative trip along the river. We enjoyed seeing the sights of Frankfort from the boat, with the expert eye of our crew. The tour at Buffalo Trace covered the history of the distillery and the guide there was a lot of fun.

A great Experience! - Our non-profit took our 15 summer campers (ages 5-11) and their families on a river tour (minus the bourbon tasting!) It was a great experience from start to finish! The booking experience was easy. Communication was fantastic. The actual boat trip was fun and informative. I would highly recommend this taking this boat trip!
