- We recommend you bring along warm clothes, sunglasses, sturdy footwear, your camera and a sense of adventure!
- For safety reasons, we do not allow selfie sticks, drones, flammable liquids, lighters, iPads/ tablets and bags of any description on any of our flights.
- We fly all year round, weather permitting. Please note: On Christmas, we only operate for half the day (9 am - 12 pm).

Glacier Helicopters/The Helicopter Line - Organized, friendly and professional from beginning to end. We really appreciated that they were very open that weather conditions might not permit a landing on the glacier, but we would only be charged what we experienced. Turns out we were able to make a landing on a beautiful sunny day. Quite an experience!

An incredible experience and it goes down as a significant bucket list item completed with wonderful memories. - We arrived in Franz Josef the evening beforehand and spoke with Tiana who was extremely friendly and welcoming that added to the excitement of the trip. There was a question before we took off about being able to land on the glacier due to prevailing weather conditions but thankfully Jason our skilful pilot ensured we got to land on Fox and get out onto the glacier. The scenery on both the ascent and decent was spectacular and will last with me forever. The pictures we took enroute to and on the glacier were excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience that took only 30 minutes but the memories will be ever lasting.

Lovely glaciers - What an amazing experience. The views were incredible and I took a lot of photos and videos. Landing on the glacier was special and so exciting. Loved it.

Astounding trip everyone should do - Spectacular. Great staff. Easy check in. You can’t take any bags on flight-office keeps them for you. Lightest/smallest people sit in the 2 seats at front. Pilot excellent. Constant commentary via headsets. Incredible experience.

Great memories, fabulous scenery - We were delayed due to the weather. This company had no trouble refunding or rescheduling our ride. We went in the afternoon and it was a fabulous experience. The pilot was careful and offered good commentary. He was friendly and took some nice pictures for us. We have good pictures and great memories. Thank you very much.

Franz Joseph glacier - Simply a breathtaking trip that topped our visit. The helicopter ride was excellent and the pilot informed us of the natural history of the glaciers and helped take pictures. Highly recommended.

Bait and switch! - Do not book anything with glacier helicopters. And especially through Viator. The sales girl at the counter tried to blame Viator for the reason why their helicopters weren’t flying for two days in a row! My husband and I think that their game is to overbook and then to make people wait until it’s finally their turn. They always have the caveat that they won’t fly under unsafe conditions. And not being a helicopter pilot, of course we couldn’t make that call. However, the entire experience was very screwy. And now Viator is dragging their feet onrefunding our money. Even though I sent them a voucher proving that they had finally canceled our flight. We arrived on time on the first day for our flight and they kept shuffling us around, trying to get us to go on a different flight than the one we had booked. Then the girl at the desk said that she had put us on a 930 flight the next morning. When we showed up at 9 AM, they said they weren’t flying again! It was a perfectly clear day. I told them that we could not wait around when they tried to schedule us on a 1 PM flight. It was clear to me that they just kept putting us on later and later flights because they were overbooked. I cannot prove this, but it seems to not be a reliable company. They emailed Viator to confirm that our reservation had been canceled and yet Viator is saying that they never received the email. If you want to take a helicopter flight over the glaciers, there are plenty of places that will book you on the spot. Do not go through this booking company. Just stop alongside the road at any of the helicopter places that will take you over the glaciers. It is a little more expensive, but a longer flight with guaranteed snow landings. Do not fall for this bait and switch.
