Visitors will experience the charm of this town, steeped in history from Roman times. A short stroll leads to a stunning wine cellar where the hosts will present wines from the family vineyard, including Frascati Superiore D.O.C.G. (don’t worry, the meaning of these initials will be explained!) and Vagnolo. After sampling each wine with traditional appetizers, the pasta-making adventure begins! The chef will guide participants in creating authentic homemade pasta, so be prepared to get hands-on! Once the pasta is mixed and rolled, a delightful decision awaits: which Roman-style dish to prepare? Choose from three classic recipes: Carbonara, Amatriciana, or Cacio e Pepe, and let the chef assist in mastering the basics. The grand finale? Buon Appetito! Enjoy the pasta while engaging in conversation with fellow guests for as long as desired. After dinner, there will be an opportunity to explore the “caves” beneath the wine cellar.

Your journey commences with an enchanting train ride from Rome to Frascati, offering views of Rome’s picturesque countryside. Upon arrival at Frascati Station, we’ll greet you and guide you through the town’s fascinating nooks. The next destination is our historic wine cellar, the birthplace of our family’s winemaking tradition. You’ll get to sample two variations of our finest family wines, accompanied by local meat and cheese. The essentials for pasta-making will then be arranged, and it’s your opportunity to get hands-on. Don the apron, merge the ingredients and sip wine as you craft your pasta. It’s an enchanting process, ending with your pasta being adorned with your chosen Roman Sauce. Sit back, relish your handmade pasta and sip wine in a relaxed atmosphere. And of course, a visit to our wine cave is a must before you depart!

Best cooking class ever! - This class was absolutely fantastic! We booked it because we have several friends and family members who have also booked this class over the years and they spoke so highly of it. Now we know why. Rose was our guide. Her family owns the winery that operates this cooking class. She was so friendly and lovely. We learned so much about the wines in this region and we learned how to make amazing pasta! Frascati is such a quaint town and such a welcome break from the hustle of Rome. We’re so glad we took this class!

Highly Recommended - Perfect. My wife and two children (ages 9) had a wonderful experience. The town of Frascati is amazing and easy to get to from Rome via commuter train. We came in early and hung around afterwards to enjoy some food and beverage after the pasta making. From Scratch was great from the beginning. They met us at the train station, gave a quick tour of the town along with some history. We tasted a red and white wine from their vineyard, made the pasta, toured the cellar, and then we observed how to make the pasta dish itself. We also had the opportunity to purchase a bottle of wine to enjoy with our dinner. The food was excellent. I highly recommend this experience over something in Rome itself. It feels very authentic and personal even though we were with a few other people.

A lovely treat out of the business of Rome. - What a fabulous experience! The wine was beautiful, the food was delious. One of our group was gluten free and was able to make her own pasta too. We were also lucky to have a fabulous mix of people in our session.

Highly recommended - This experience was the highlight of our trip to Frascati. Rosie was so patient with us, introducing & teaching us how to make pasta. Her knowledge of the region wines was very informative. Rosie was so entertaining & such a pleasure to communicate with being we didn’t speak a lick of Italian. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone!!

We had the most incredible time at this pasta-making class in Rome! Our host, Nico gave us an unforgettable tour of the local area and his family’s beautiful wine center before guiding us step-by-step through making fresh pasta.
The class was the perfect size so it felt personal and relaxed. We each got to make our own pasta and then choose from three sauces to enjoy our pasta afterwards.
Nico and his family were so welcoming and hospitable.
I honestly couldn’t recommend this experience enough. If you’re in Rome, don’t miss this. It’s a wonderful way to connect with authentic Italian culture, make some pasta with a beautiful local family.

Super fun family activity! - Fantastic experience making pasta with Niko! He picked us up at the train station and walked us through a small portion of the town while telling us about the history of Frascati.
Then we arrived to the pasta-making location and was warmly welcomed with two glasses of their family produced wine. The pasta-making class was so fun! And the staff was very nice, friendly, patient and understanding about us translating to our family (they don’t speak English very well so we made breaks and I translated).
Very much worth the ride if you want to get away from Rome’s busy turist life for a more quiet and relaxed day…

Amazing cooking class, wine tasting and tour! - We had the best time at this experience, would highly recommend. Rosie was the best host and teacher! We loved how it started out with a tour and wine tasting, and the class was so fun. Excellent wines as well!!!!

Best cooking class to do - We were met at the station by Rosy who gave us a short tour and explained the history of Frascati town. Rosy was so welcoming and you felt like family straight away
We walked to the restaurant - From Scratch - where we began our class. It was a fun filled, well explained class. We made our pasta with Rosy who then showed us more of the history of her family’s vineyard.
Afterwards Rosy made your pasta sauce of choice. Then we all sat down together to eat our creation with a wine.
I would recommend this activity to everyone it is one of the best

Outstanding Pasta Making Experience - The whole experience was absolutely outstanding. The host was brilliant, really knowledgeable and engaging, especially during the wine tasting and pasta making parts. Getting to make the pasta from scratch and then enjoy it at the end was amazing.
The class was shared with other families and couples, which made it even better. It was great getting to know people, hearing about their local interests, and where they were from. Overall, the afternoon was superb. Great value for money and such a fun, authentic experience. I’d highly recommend this to anyone visiting!
