Although the sea's was... - Although the sea's was rough on the way over, I would still recommend this company. So many people were sick and the staff were amazing trying to help everyone. Our return trip was very smooth with no issues.

Amazing Customer Service and Great On-Board Atmosphere - Way better than I imagined. I looked for the cheapest ferry to Rottnest, not sure I found it because this trip was spectacular! The staff/crew on board were so friendly and kind. They went above and beyond on safety and hospitality. The boat itself was spacious and not cramped there were even tables for me to get a little work done during the trip. My favorite part was that the captain slowed down when he spotted whales and let the guests/passengers know to look out the windows and we might see them as well. I was thrilled with my experience on Sealink and would choose to travel with them again in a heartbeat!

Rottnest was great - A bit rough on the way across yet very calm on the way back. The staff were able to change our return trip to an earlier time . Riding around on our bikes was fantastic

Bus ride to Fremantle - Some scheduled trips from Fremantle for the next day were already showing as cancelled (strong winds) on Sealink's website, however the Perth departure was showing as available when booking the night prior. We wanted to do the Swan River cruise, so selected Perth as our departure and return point. However, upon checking my confirmation, I noticed that we were booked to depart from Fremantle, so went back into Sealink's booking system to change it back to Perth. When we arrived at the Barrack Street ticket office at 8.00am, only then were we told that due to 'operational issues', the Swan River cruise sector was to be replaced by a bus transfer to Fremantle. I expect that this is the reason the booking system automatically scheduled us on a Fremantle departure when I booked the night before? While on the island, we received a message advising that the Fremantle to Perth sector of our return trip was also being replaced by bus. The skipper handled the boat extremely well under difficult conditions and passenger safety was a priority. All of the staff on the boat were great, and even though it was a rough trip, they really looked after the passengers, some of them were quite unwell with seasickness. Unless it is in a peak period where tickets are likely to sell out, I would not advise pre-booking, as tickets are non-refundable. After paying an additional $40pp for a Swan River cruise, you may find yourself instead boarding a cramped bus. If we knew when booking, we would have either purchased Fremantle tickets or travelled on the Rottnest Express waiting at the Barrack St jetty.

Return to Perth needs on a smaller ferry - We caught the ferry back from Rottnest to Perth instead of back to Fremantle. We stopped over at Fremantle and were told to get off. We then waited an hour at the quay for a smaller ferry that could take us because the one we were on “was too big for the tides” to get under the bridge. When asking when the smaller replacement ferry will come he said “it will arrive when it arrives”. I’m sorry to the deckhand for asking such a difficult question. Awesome politeness for the money we paid. Was really great sitting on the quay waiting and wondering.
