Highlights

Fes - Ifrane- Midlt - Merzouga

Merzouga Desert - Departing from Fez, embark on an exploratory journey through the Merzouga desert to Marrakech, uncovering the rich culture of the Berbers in southeastern Morocco. The tour begins in Fez, often referred to as the small Switzerland of Morocco. After a brief city tour, we proceed to the cedar forest in Azrou, where you can encounter the local Barbary monkeys and even feed them for some memorable photos. As we traverse the Middle Atlas mountain range along the Ziz valley, there will be opportunities to photograph Morocco’s second-largest palm grove, stretching over 150 km. We’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the Erg Chebbi dunes in the village of Merzouga. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed with mint tea and check into your hotel to freshen up before embarking on a camel ride adventure across the dunes, culminating in a night spent in the desert.

Merzouga Desert - Erfoud - Toudgha Gorges - Tinghir

Tinghir - After a sunrise camel ride and breakfast, we will head towards Tinghir via the Toudgha Gorges, arriving in the afternoon to spend the night at a local hotel.

Tinghir - Rose Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

Marrakech-Safi - We will set off early in the morning towards Ouarzazate, the movie capital, known for its kasbahs, including the Taourirt World Heritage Site and some of the region’s most stunning palaces. Nearby, we’ll visit the cinema museum and film studios where many international films, such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones, and Babel, were shot. A short 20 km drive will take us to the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. After exploring the kasbah, we’ll continue our journey across the High Atlas Mountains, admiring the breathtaking landscapes and hidden Berber villages nestled in the vast valleys. (Optional: We can have lunch at a local restaurant on the Tichka pass or in Ait Ben Haddou Village) before finally dropping you off in Marrakech.

A trip to the desert to do absolutely - We traveled in 4 families (13 and 16 years the boys). In summary the trip was very nice and I would recommend this tour. In detail: - Our Guide Mohamed Ait Ouaghlad was perfect. In telling us, in kindness and in Safe Guide. - The places visited are worth the trip. - the desert is a must-do experience - The kilometers are many as well as the time spent in the car. This should not discourage but should be considered as part of the journey and a way to get to know this part of Morocco. - all the people in the organization are professional and friendly. Especially the camel drivers. To appreciate their work. - 3 days is the minimum but still sufficient.

A wonderful experience! - We had a great time on this tour with our guide Mohamed Ait Ouaghlad. He was friendly and made sure we were all taken care of. He picked us up on time, made regular stops along the way and shared lots of information about Moroccan culture. It was a unique experience that we really enjoyed. From Marrakech to Saharan - An experience I would repeat without thinking, both for the experience in the desert and the camp was brutal. And above all highlight the attention and kindness of the Mustapha and Sait guides who were lovely and super attentive to the group at all times, and the boy who took us with the camels also lovely took pictures of us all the time and super attentive too.

An unforgettable adventure - I recommend this tour 100%, it has been an unforgettable experience, thanks to our super guide Mustapha and his partner driver Saíd. They have taught us beautiful places, they have taken care of us as if we were lifelong friends, they have advised us very well, in short they have been very nice, attentive, fun and Top-rated tour guides. I recommend that if you do this tour ask for Mustapha, because you will live an unforgettable experience from when you are picked up in Marrakech until you are dropped off on the third day with another driver who takes you to Fez. Although this driver has been friendly, it must be said that he has not explained anything to us about the places where we have stopped during the 9 hour journey. But good otherwise.

Family fun in the desert - We went as a family with 2 children aged 11 and 8 (we downloaded films for them to watch on the journey). Muhamad ait ouaghlad was a wonderful guide, making sure the children were happy. His English was good and he was helpful with all our questions. The tour was broken up will with little stops to cool off and stretch our legs for lunch or local tours. The Berber tribe were extremely welcoming and so friendly. It was extremely hot so be prepared for that! Definitely recommend the extra quad bike ride back from the camp which was about 40-50 euros. All in all, an excellent trip into the desert, I'm glad we did it!

We had a once in a lifetime trip to the desert and recommend you bring an extra €50 for the ATV option on the way back. Excellent experience! Thank you
