We’ll commence our trip at Fatima, renowned for the 1917 apparition of the Virgin Mary, also referred to as our lady of Fatima.
Following that spiritual experience, we’ll venture to Batalha. Its monastery is a prominent iconic site and reflects the magnificence of late gothic architecture in Portugal. The monastery, a tribute to the Royal Battle victory, paving the way for the Portuguese troops in the 1385 Battle of Aljubarrota, is sure to leave an everlasting impression.
Then, we will set off for Nazare for a well-anticipated lunch break. Here, the opportunity awaits to savor some of the best seafood in Portugal, as Nazare is a popular fishing village.
In Obidos; a sightseeing stroll to appreciate the aesthetically pleasing village houses awaits us. From the jardinieres teemed with colorful flowers adorning the walls, to the mesmerizing views from the castle ramparts, the quaint churches and old-fashioned homes are sure to please. Enjoy a traditional ‘Ginginha’ served in a chocolate cup, a local treat encapsulating the essence of Obidos.

A Most Memorable Day Trip! - My dad, sister, and I had a wonderful and memorable day with our guide, Sonia! We had a good amount of time in each location while our guide shared her expertise and history knowledge. The private tour allowed us to be comfortable with time - no rushing. We had lunch at an amazing place in Nazaré. The van was clean, comfortable. Sonia is so personable and easy going. I really enjoyed my conversations with her. I’m so happy we found her at “I Go Portugal.” I look forward to returning to Portugal with my family and would like to plan a personalized itinerary through her! I know we would be in good hands with her expertise and experience for travel.

Fátima, Batalhi, Nazaré, and Obidos - Miguel, our guide was spectacular. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about our tour and the places that we visited. We started with a trip to Fatima, where we visited the shrine and on the way Miguel told us stories about the history of Fatima as well as what we would be seeing once there he took us on a tour of the shrine, as well as the other venues there in Fatima, including the burning of candles and a side exhibit showing a piece of the Berlin wall. our next stop was Batalha Monastery which was also very nice to see and had several alters set up for different manufacturers of the church. From there, we went to lunch and a wonderful restaurant near the beach in Nazare and had seafood rice, which was absolutely wonderful. After lunch, we went up to the top of the cliff and overlooked the area where they had the world‘s largest surfing wave at 100 feet. our last stop was Obidos which was an old village with a castle built around it, and we walked through the village. Overall, the trip was absolutely wonderful and perfect for us. We cannot commend Miguel enough as he was absolutely wonderful and was very very personable. We would recommend Miguel to anyone that would like to have an enjoyable and very knowledgeable guide for a tour. Miguel gets five stars plus from us and we will look forward to having him again on a future tour.

Perfect day trip Fatima, Nazere, and Obidos - Pedro M was wonderful! His knowledge of history and the area made the trip perfect. My husband and I had a great time and if this is your first time to the area this is the best way to see the main sites. Cannot say enough great things about Pedro and the great day he provided!

Fatima holy experience. - Pedro M was excellent. Tailored the trip to meet our wishes. We went to Mass, lit candles for our family, walked the outdoor Stations of the Cross. Visited the children’s homes. Thanks for the great day.

Amazing tour with an amazing guide - We had an amazing day on the Fátima tour with I Go Portugal, and our guide Gonçalo was fantastic. He explained everything in such a clear and engaging way and made the history and meaning of Fátima really come alive. You could tell he truly cared about the place and the experience we were having.
The whole tour felt relaxed, well organized, and never rushed, and Gonçalo was always happy to answer questions and share extra stories. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal — highly recommend, especially if you get Gonçalo as your guide!

An Unforgettable Private Day Tour – Fátima, Nazaré & Óbidos - This private day tour to Fátima, Nazaré, and Óbidos was absolutely exceptional and one of the highlights of our time in Portugal. From start to finish, everything was seamless, relaxing, and thoughtfully planned.
Our driver Miguel, was outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment of the day. The personal attention truly set this experience apart from any standard tour. He shared interesting insights along the way, adjusted the pace to our preferences, and made sure we never felt rushed.
Fátima was a deeply moving and peaceful experience, Nazaré offered breathtaking coastal views and local charm, and Óbidos was like stepping into a fairy tale with its medieval streets and stunning scenery. The added extras—thoughtful stops, local tips, and small touches to enhance the experience—made the day feel customized just for us.

Amazing Day Trip – Totally Worth It! - We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré and Óbidos with I Go Portugal, and it exceeded all our expectations. Our guide, Miguel, was outstanding – incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about Portugal’s history and culture.
He made each stop truly special: the spiritual atmosphere of Fátima, the stunning Gothic beauty of Batalha Monastery, the dramatic coastal views in Nazaré, and the charming medieval streets of Óbidos. Everything was perfectly timed, stress-free, and very well organised.
Miguel went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged, sharing fascinating stories and local tips along the way. This tour was the highlight of our trip to Portugal and we couldn’t recommend it more highly.
If you’re thinking about doing this tour – don’t hesitate. It’s worth every minute!

Very high quality tour with amazing guide - Our tour guide Pedro M. was fabulous. Very professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We thought he was a professor in college the way he was telling the stories. Great driver as well. He walked with us everywhere and was talking non stop. Basically personal tour guide from 9 to 7pm with 4 sites. We stopped for lunch in great seaside restaurant in Nazaré. Overall I would use this company and Pedro over and over.
