Day Trip with Sonia - Our guide was Sonia and she was amazing!! We visited Fatima, Batalha, Nazare and Obidos. She was extremely informative on the sites, gave us plenty of family time to explore and introduced us to her favorite spots for lunch, shopping and sightseeing! It ended up being a 10 hour day with us and it was awesome! Thank you Sonia for showing us a great time!!

Great guide! - Pedro was a great guide with incredible historical and local knowledge, and very flexible to our group’s preferences and requests.

Best tour company in Portugal!!!! - We actually spent 6 days with iGoPortugal. They took us on a tour of Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Fatima, Tomar, Nazare, Coimbra, Porto, Guimaraes and Douro Valley. They provided the transfer from Lisbon to Porto and we stopped in Nazare and Coimbra along the way. This was the best possible way to travel. There was no stress over figuring out the transportation, tickets and where to go. We were picked up at the front of our hotel and everything was arranged for us. In addition, the guides that we had (shout out to you Pedro 2.0 and Miguel) were fantastic! They were very knowledgeable about everything Portugal and were very proud of their heritage. Touring with them is like touring with native Portuguese friends (if I had any) who were experts and were more patient. They have ruined future private tours for me because they were so good (unless I go on iGoPortugal again), I don't think I can find a better tour company. They also knew a lot of trivia about the places we visited, where to eat, etc. Both Pedro and Miguel were very kind, professional and excellent drivers. The cars they used were also very clean and top notch. I can honestly say that we saw more and learned more about Portugal in 6 days than we would have in several months if we just went on our own. I highly recommend this tour company. Pedro 1.0 (the boss) was also very responsive to me during the time I was planning the trip and trying to decide if I was just going to wing it with public trains and buses or go with a private tour guide. Best decision I ever made to go with iGoPortugal! Will definitely be using them again when I go visit the lovely country of Portugal!

An unforgettable day! - We spent a beautiful day, knowing Fatima, the Battle Monastery, Nazareth and Obidos in the company of Sonia! Besides being a super competent and friendly person, she was very caring to us, always asking us what we spent doing and what kind of expectations we had in relation to the ride. I recommend IGO and Sonia with closed eyes, they made my family experience unforgettable!

Gorgeous day in Fatima - We had a lovely day in Fatima. Our tour guide, Carlos, was very insistent that the tour could be whatever we wanted it to be. As we were on a cruise ship (with a tight deadline for departure) we wanted to maximize our time in Fatima. While we could have rushed to see some of the other stops, I’m glad that we chose to take our time and explore Fatima. We stayed for a Catholic mass, which was very important to us for this visit. Carlos was very considerate of my knee injury, and was very patient with me and my mobility issues. After Fátima, instead of rushing to another destination, we chose to go back to Lisbon for a local lunch and enjoyed the Portuguese cuisine. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience a unique private tour at your own pace!

Wonderful Day Trip! - We booked a private day tour with Pedro M while staying in Lisbon. We had been wanting to see Nazare after watching the documentary, 100 Foot Wave. Pedro was prompt on arrival and asked us about what was important for us to see to make sure he allowed enough time at each stop. Our first stop was Fatima which was beautiful and very serene. On our way, Pedro gave us the “short version” of Portuguese history. He was amazing and so knowledgeable. After Fatima we drove to Nazare. Beautiful city and did not disappoint. He made reservations at his favorite seafood restaurant and we had a lovely lunch. We would definitely recommend I Go Portugal and Pedro M to anyone who visits Lisbon. Thank you Pedro! Robyn & Brent

Fantastic trip - We had an amazing time. Our guide Sonya was fantastic. She gave us as much time as we needed to visit the sites. She explained the history of each site and made the experience that much more rewarding. She guided us as much as needed and gave us our space as well. The trip and our guide Sonya were awesome!!

Awesome trip with stops at four cities starting with Fatima. - Our tour started with a pickup at our Lisbon apartment. Our guide, Anna, was extremely friendly and asked us what we wanted to do for our tour that day so that she could tailor the experience to what we wanted to get out of if for the day. Our first stop was Fatima, Anna explained the history of the site and the various stories behind all buildings and the devotions we were seeing first hand. You felt a sense of peace in the original chapel. Next we went to Batalha, home to one of the largest gothic monasteries and churches. Absolutely beautiful architecture. Then on to Nazare, home of the largest waves in the world. What a view overlooking the ocean. She booked a reservation at a local seafood restaurant, everything was so fresh. Definitely check out the lobster and octopus rolls! Our final stop was to Obidos, a town within castle walls. It was there where we had our shot of Ginjinha in a chocolate shot glass. It was much better than the one we had on a food and wine tour in Lisbon. Anna was a delight to spend the day with and we appreciated all of her insights during each of our stops. I would recommend taking this tour through I Go Portugal. Thanks Anna!
