Fantastic private tour for families wanting to escape the busy tourist areas. - Highly recommend this tour for families wanting some exploring at your own pace away from the regular tourist crowds. Johnny made us feel so welcome in the area that he lives in. He tailored the tour for our preferences and even made an extra stop when he found out my son loved rocks and dinosaurs. Even a stop at his favourite supermarket on the way home so we could pick up an easy dinner for tired kids. Johnny was engaging and knowledgeable. He even took photos throughout, which is a lovely memento as we often only have selfies of our family. The tour was a highlight of our trip to Japan. Thank you!

Local farmer-turned-tour-guide-extraordinaire keeps on delivering! - Can't find a better guide than Johnny who is a Fujikawaguchiko local! He is an awesome, friendly guide, and made me and my family feel welcome. Johnny also offered to customize our tour according to our needs. Plus point was that he's good with kids and kept my daughter entertained while showing us his local knowledge and hidden gems in Kawaguchiko. Although the weather was not ideal, he still made sure that we had fun exploring especially for us who have been to Japan many times. I would recommend Johnny for an intimate group tour around Kawaguchiko.

The perfect local guide for your visit to Kawaguchiko - Johnny was amazing and really sought to understand what we might like to plan out the perfect itinerary which we left for him as the local to surprise us with. From the pick up, hidden gems, lunch selection to even getting us to be able to buy fruit from his local fruit person. If you are going to Kawaguchiko, drop Johnny a line and you will not be disappointed with having a trusted local plan your day in viewing one of the most amazing place in Japan.

Wow what a trip and what a guide ... Awesome - Wow wow and wow. What an absolutely fantastic day we had with our tour guide Johnny. Johnny is the most awesome guy, friendly, knowledgeable, polite and funny. He goes out of his way to customise your trip to what matters to you. He is considerate and personable. Nothing is too much trouble and it's lovely getting to know about Johnny and his background. He really did make our trip what a day Kawaguchigko is absolutely beautiful a must for anyone travelling to Japan. If you don't want to be part of a 40 plus tourist bus missing the best parts of Kawaguchigko and following the masses this is the tour for you. Personal, lots of hidden gems to be found and navigating away from the masses and crowds with fun and laughter on the way. Wow Johnny you are awesome, thank you

The Best Way to Fully Enjoy Kawaguchiko - Johnny’s tour of kawaguchiko was the highlight of our three weeks in Japan. I truly do not know how someone could fully enjoy or grasp the beauty of kawaguchiko without his knowledge and energy. Johnny spent about 6 months going back and forth with me to plan a proposal in Kawaguchiko. When a typhoon struck on the day of our scheduled tour, Johnny was quick to think of alternative options and came up with an entirely new plan on the spot. The proposal was something out of a movie and I have Johnny to thank for it all. The following day, our trains were cancelled and we decided to do Johnny’s traditional, non-proposal oriented, 6 hour tour. It was the most incredible day! Rain or shine, Johnny’s charisma and local knowledge will ensure a memorable and breathtaking experience. We would have never known about, let alone seen, the places Johnny took us. Each one was filled with natural beauty and historical significance that Johnny was able to perfectly convey. I could not possibly recommend Johnny’s tour more! He made our trip so special. P.S. Johnny is an AMAZING photographer!

Book with Johnny for a great day in the lakes - Johny was everything you wanted in a guide- friendly and knowledgeable and enthusiastic and tailored the tour for me and my -6year old daughter. Showed us around the lakes area including a couple of places off the beaten track where there were no other tourists, and took great photos which he sent on to us. Also recommended a great local Ramen place for lunch which was spot on and where the food was excellent and great value for money. A fantastic day all round

We had an amazing time! Warmly recommended!!! - Our family of four was picked up at our hotel in Kawaguchiko shortly after breakfast by Johnny in his very comfortable car. We quickly felt at ease with Johnny and his warm, fun and enthusiastic personality. We loved all the places we visited and all the insight Johnny shared with us. Johnny was excellent at keeping an engaging rhythms throughout the day, something that is extra appreciated when traveling with kids (9 & 10 years old). Definitely one of our best days in Japan, and they were all great!!! Thank you for a fantastic day Johnny - we hope to see you soon again! Maybe in Colorado?

Kawaguchigo hidden gems with Johnny - I came across Johnny through some tripadvisor reviews, and I'm so glad I did! My husband and I and our 11 year old daughter spent 2 amazing memorable days with Johnny, where he picked us up each morning from our hotel and drove us around the bestest spots in the area. We went to a couple of the must- see touristic spots like Chureito Pagoda, with it's stunning views of Mount Fuji Oshino Hokkai, Oishi park, but apart from those he took us to some fantastic, off the beaten path places, beautiful waterfalls and shrines in forests, a dip in Lake Motosu, special viewpoints of Fuji and other places we'd never have known to visit. He took us to the best authentic ramen restaurant in the area where only locals go- a truly special experience , stopped us throughout the day for grilled mochi , the juciest local peaches, yummy local ice cream and more.He even organised an onigiri- making ( and eating) workshop, which we loved, especially our daughter. Johnny is so friendly and helpful and gave us such a fantastic insight into local Japanese culture and history. By the end of the two days, after lots of laughs and chatter we felt like we'd become good friends and were so sad to say bye!!!! I would highly recommend Johnny to anyone wanting to visit the Fuji area in the best way possible! Johhny- you're awesome!
