It is renowned for offering stunning views and photo opportunities of the majestic Mt. Fuji from the observatory deck.
- Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai consists of eight springs located in Oshino, Yamanashi, Japan. These springs are formed by aquifer water from Mount Fuji emerging to the surface. They are recognized as a Natural Monument of Japan and are part of the Mount Fuji World Heritage Site. Winter provides a particularly spectacular view of the iconic mountain, including the “Diamond Fuji” phenomenon, where the rising or setting sun aligns perfectly with the peak of Mt. Fuji, creating a dazzling effect. The Hannoki Bayashi Shiryokan, a small open-air museum, surrounds the largest pond, with a nominal admission fee. The water in Waku Pond is exceptionally clear and clean, and visitors are encouraged to drink it and even take some home. It’s an excellent spot for purchasing gifts and souvenirs, and the street food is delightful.

- Oishi Park - Oishi Park is a public park located on the northern shore of Lake Kawaguchi. From the park, visitors can enjoy a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi. The park features a 350-meter walking path adorned with various flowers; from early April to late May, moss phlox flowers create a pink carpet, from late June to late July, beautiful lavender blooms, and from mid to late October, the kokia shrubs display their vibrant red autumn colors. The contrast between the diverse flowers and Mt. Fuji is truly spectacular.
The park also hosts the Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center, where visitors can enjoy making fruit jam and participate in an all-you-can-eat cherry and blueberry picking course. Additionally, there is a café offering specialty blueberry ice cream.
- Mt. Fuji 5th Station - This is the highest point of Mt. Fuji (2200m) accessible by car, making it an interesting spot for hikers. It is the closest point to view the summit of Mt. Fuji, offering splendid city views from the viewpoints. The station is accessible via the Fuji Subaru Line, a scenic toll road on Mount Fuji’s lower northern slopes, starting in Fujikawaguchiko Town. The toll road costs 2100 yen and may be partially closed in winter due to heavy snow. Moreover, the road is closed to private vehicles during most of the climbing season (July 5 to September 10, 2024), with shuttle buses operating between designated parking lots at the mountain’s base and the 5th station.

The Kachi Kachi Ropeway ascends to an observation point near the summit of Mount Tenjo, providing views of Lake Kawaguchiko and Mount Fuji.
