Highlights
  • LAWSON Oriental Hotel Fukuoka Store - When we start the tour, the travelers will first pass through Fukuoka, a bustling city with modern architecture, historic temples, and notable landmarks like Fukuoka Tower and Hakata Station. As the bus moves away from the city, the scenery changes to the serene countryside with lush rice fields, rolling hills, and traditional Japanese homes dotting the landscape.

On clear days, travelers may catch distant views of the mountains in Aso-Kuju National Park, famous for its volcanoes and expansive highlands. The route may also include crossing or traveling alongside the Chikugo River, offering picturesque views of the region’s waterways. Along the way, the natural scenery becomes a peaceful backdrop before arriving in Kumamoto, where the urban landscape of Kumamoto City begins to unfold with bustling streets, shops, and local restaurants, leading up to the grand Kumamoto Castle.

  • Kumamoto Castle - Kumamoto Castle: One of Japan’s most famous castles, known for its imposing stone walls and historical significance. Visitors can admire its unique architecture, reconstructed towers, and lush surroundings, especially when cherry blossoms bloom in spring, creating a stunning contrast against the castle’s dark exterior.
  • Mt. Aso - Located on the slopes of Mt. Aso, Kusasenri is a vast plain with sweeping views of grasslands where cows and horses roam freely. This scenic area offers a peaceful atmosphere with a volcanic landscape backdrop, ideal for leisurely walks and enjoying the fresh mountain air.

If the Aso Mt. Aso is prohibited from entering, the itinerary will be adjusted according to the on-site situation. * If the crater is restricted, the Kusa Senri time will be changed to 90 minutes.

Includes lunch time, please pay for your own lunch

  • Mt. Nakadake - Mount Nakadake, located in the Aso Caldera, is one of Japan’s most active volcanoes and a unique destination for travelers. On a tour to Mount Nakadake, visitors can get close to the crater, where volcanic gases and steam rise from deep within the earth. On clear days, the vibrant green crater lake is visible, offering a rare glimpse into the volcano’s depths.

The surrounding landscape is otherworldly, with rugged volcanic rock, ash-covered terrain, and sweeping views of the caldera. Visitors can explore safe observation points to take in the dramatic scenery and learn about the geology and history of Aso Volcano, one of the world’s largest volcanic calderas.

While safety is carefully monitored, access to the crater depends on volcanic activity, making it an exciting, unpredictable adventure. For nature lovers and adventure seekers, Mount Nakadake provides a thrilling experience of Japan’s dynamic volcanic landscape.

  • Dazaifu Tenmangu太宰府天満宮 - Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine: A historic and spiritual site dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, the Shinto deity of learning and scholarship. The shrine is surrounded by beautiful gardens and seasonal flowers, including the famous “flying plum trees.” Visitors often come here to pray for academic success and enjoy the peaceful, cultural atmosphere of this sacred place.

  • Kurokawa Onsen - Kurokawa Onsen: A charming hot spring town known for its traditional ambiance, scenic beauty, and relaxing atmosphere. Kurokawa Onsen features numerous ryokan (traditional inns) with open-air baths where visitors can soak in healing waters while surrounded by nature.
