Join us on a incredible demi private full-day wine tour around the island! Visit historic wineries, sample our best wines, savour the island’s traditional espetada dish paired with local wines, and enjoy stunning views! Learn the secrets of Madeira’s wine on this unforgettable journey! We depart from Funchal with a private visit to Blandy’s Wine Lodges, one of Madeira’s oldest producers where you will also taste the fantastic Madeira Fortified Wines! Next, we’ll cross the island to the North Coast, passing through the UNESCO-listed Laurissilva Forest. In São Vicente, we’ll have a tasting of red, white and rose wines, followed by a walk in the vineyards and lunch, featuring the traditional dish espetada - skewered beef. After lunch, we’ll stop at a breathtaking viewpoint for stunning views of the incredible North coast! On our return to the south coast, we’ll visit Barbeito’s for a final tasting of special Madeira Wines. Our qualified guides & vans provide all the comfort you need.

What a way to spend a Birthday! - We did this tour for my partner’s birthday, and we both had a memorable day. This tour would be worth it simply for Sofia’s knowledge and storytelling, but the views, wine and food make it an unforgettable experience. The second spot we visited (Quinta Do Barbusano) is the real highlight, with some of the best vistas we’ve ever seen and some of the best beef we’ve ever eaten. This tour is an amazing way to see the most beautiful parts of Madeira while drinking fantastic wine and hearing some of the island’s most fascinating stories.

Highly recomended! - This trip was fantastic, very educational as well as you get to see large parts of Madeira. Our tour guide Roberto was fabulous! knowledgeable, professional and an incredibly nice guy to be with! I can't recommend this trip enough and a big thank you to Roberto who made the trip complete!

Wine tour - Great experience and our guide Roberto was very knowledgeable and good company! Sorry but we didn’t catch our drivers name but thank you for getting us around the mountains, tunnels and narrow lanes !

Great guide, lots of wine, tasty food! - Great guide full of stories of the island, tasted various table and fortified Madeira wines, definitely got our monies worth! (hiccup!). Had the biggest and tastiest beef skewers i've ever seen. Got to see a large part of the island. All in all, a fantastic trip and would definitely recommend.

Unbelievable Views, Great Wine, Best Guide - This tour was fantastic. We learned about the wine process here in Madeira and had an awesome guide, Roberto. If you get the chance to take the tour with Roberto, we would highly recommend. He is very personable and funny. He seems to really enjoy showing us around and gives great information along the way. The second winery we visited was one of the most beautiful views we have seen ever. The winery is carved into the side of a mountain with sweeping views of vineyards and the ocean in the distance. Others in the group had just come from Tuscany and mentioned that Tuscany didn’t even come close to the beauty of this location. The traditional Madeira lunch was also great. Overall, this was a perfect day to enjoy beautiful views and great wines. It was particularly nice to taste several Madeira wines and Madeira table wines. We highly recommend.

Sampling the many wines of Madeira - A wine tasting experience with a difference. Our enthusiastic tour leader, Sofia, was knowledgeable and inspiring as she led us around the island’s wineries. The scenery was a spectacular backdrop to the many tastings of delicious wines. The lunch was memorable for the great quantity and quality of food, necessary to soak up the generous amounts of wine. We look forward to sampling more wines from Madeira.

Excellent Madeira Tour with Delightful Guide and Tasteful Experience! - A very pleasant tour with tasteful local food and wine, where we also got to see a lot of Madeira, together with our very pleasant and knowledgeable guide Graça, who made the experience even better. The weather was perhaps a bit on the windy side, but that's not something we can blame the guide for. Overall, a great day and we can recommend it to others who want to try it out.

Great Day on Madeira - The Full Day Wine Tour by Wine Tours of Madeira is truly a great way to spend a day on the island of Madeira. Sophia gave us a great introduction to the wine industry on the island. We visited two Madeira Houses and two wineries thus ensuring a nice sampling of what the island has to offer. Sophia was well known and liked at each stop, thus ensuring we got the very best experience. She was born on the island and had a wealth of knowledge about plants, geography and history. In summary, a great way to see what is happening in the wine industry while getting a good overview of the island!

Enjoyable day tasting wine around the island - Enjoyed the tour. It was a nice way to spend a day. However, the group size was too large. The Tripadvisor listing indicated a maximum of 12 but there were 17 on the tour. It was very cramped at the back of the vehicle for those who boarded last.
