Excellent guides, professional service - Although graded as easy, it is still worth remembering that there are a few steps to climb at the start of the walk. The walk is in a beautiful setting and follows the leads. Our guide Sara was very knowledgeable and provided lots of detailed information on the flora and fauna. You walk under a small waterfall and stop for lunch at another waterfall before returning the same way. There is a cafe and restaraunt at the end of the walk for refreshments and toilets. The bus also stops on the way to the walk at a supermarket where you can use the toilets and buy your lunch. Walking shoes and a waterproof jacket are recommended. This was our favourite levada walk of our trip.

Lovely, relaxing walk - This is a lovely, relaxing walk - easy terrain and beautiful forests and views. We loved having our picnic at the spring. The guide was informative and friendly. The communication was good and pick up all went smoothly. We did several other trips with Lido tours too and I would recommend them - they certainly helped us make the most of our time in Madeira.

Beautiful hike along the lavadas - I did the'hidden corners' walk today along the lavada in Sao Jorge. Had the lovely Charlotte guiding our group. Her enthusiasm and careful consideration for us all was much appreciated. Such a beautiful hike in the lush forest with beautiful views across the valley. While it's quite a long walk it's very easy going with just a bit of mud to contend with. Such a joy to be out in nature and explore the beautiful Maderia.

Great levada hike with Charlotte - We had a wonderful trip with Charlotte. A perfect day. Even if the weather wasn't great. Even with a little rain it was great. The tour starts and ends in a small café (no obligation to buy anything). Charlotte speaks French, English and a little German and Spanish.

Nice easy and interesting walk. - Nice easy walk, with pretty views. Our guide Charlotte was great, highly recommended. Turns out I'd left my cash at the hotel, which was an error since it starts and finishes at a nice wee cafe bar.

Review if Ludo Tours, Hidden corners Levada walk - What an excellent day spent with Claudio our host. The walk was excellent and the fact that our guide was a biologist was amazing, we learnt all about the history of the island, the plants and trees and he even went above and beyond and took us to see the statue of Christ. The other couple were lovely and there was only the four of us. I would highly recommend this tour but ask for Claudio as he really made our day.

Wonderful walk - We both very much enjoyed the Hidden Corners Levada Walk, perfect length and a beautiful drive up from Funchal. The trail is not difficult but around 10k total. You do go under a waterfall so rain gear is worth having. Also halfway you stop for a picnic so make sure you bring something to eat. The guide was very knowledgeable about the local plants.

Good timing and guides, however information about possible changes of destination should be provided in advance - Excellent timing - no delays in pickup. Guides very helpful, providing a lot information, ready to answer any question. We made 2 tours and both were switched to other destination than initial due to weather. We would appreciate if such information was provided in advance. That would give opportunity to choose other activity instead.

Grear guide - Rubina, our guide was excellent; she was knowledgeable and interesting and her cheery nature and good interaction with the group made the trip. Minibus picked us up promptly from our hotel and having then picked up the rest of the people around town we had interesting drive to the of North of the island. Café at start provided toilets. We were disappointed to discover that the walk was out and back along the same route. Scenery was good, but you did have to take care with your footing as there were some big drops from the path. They are putting up more fencing. Pace of walking was easy, but walking in a group does prevent you stopping and taking photos when you want.
