Begin with a journey to Largo do Miranda viewpoint, offering sweeping views over the bay and urban area of Funchal. Following this, venture off the beaten track to explore the hilly Poiso region. Your exploration extends as you ascend to Pico de Areeiro, the tallest peak on the island reachable by car, on your way to Santo da Serra – featuring a picturesque valley landscape – for a brief levada walk.
Then, experience the great outdoors with a special activity – fishing your own lunch. Hook a trout in a well-stocked lake surrounded by ancient laurel forest, prior to enjoying a picnic meal.
