All food and beverages are included. Children and vegetarians are welcome, and small groups ensure a conversational atmosphere. The tour is available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 1:00 pm, Wednesday at 10:30 am and 5:00 pm, and Saturday at 10:30 am.
Available Dates with German Guide:
- January: 6 (13:00); 7; 8; 9; 10 (16:00); 13 (16:00); 15; 21; 25; 27 (13:00); 28; 29; 30; 31.
- February: 3; 7; 10; 11; 12 (16:00); 13; 14; 17; 18; 19 (16:00); 20; 21; 25.
Note: The tour may occasionally be conducted in two languages.

An absolute must do tour. - Wow, we had an amazing 4 hours of joy. This tour delivers on the numerous stops for food and drinks and was so well paced.Leonora our guide was super; informative and relaxed. Don't have breakfast on the morning of your tour..you are given so much on this tour to eat. Super value.

Great afternoon in Funchal. - Our first day in Madeira and a fabulous food and drink tour lead by Renke. We were joined by 3 lovely couples and that added to the whole afternoon. Loads of info from Renke - she knows so much about Madeira and Funchal. We sampled some really delicious wine, food and poncha. We don’t eat pork but that was no problem on the tour. Would highly reccomend this tour to anyone. Wear comfy shoes, you will walk a fair bit but it’s all totally worth it. Thanks Renke!

Great evening with tasty food and drink. - I went on an evening tour which was a fun way to spend an evening and have interesting dinner. The evening tour may not see as much activity in the farmers market but I was happy I was drinking in the evening instead of the morning. We tried a lot of different classic Madeira foods and drinks. Some were great including some very good fruit and the custard pastries and chocolate. The guide was interesting and, as a solo, I enjoyed the opportunity to talk with the others on the tour.

Great Food! Great history! A must do in Funchal! - The tour is a wonderful balance of history and food! Our tour guide, Jaqueline, described a delicious blend of food and drinks while sharing with us stories of Funchal past. She was quite knowledgeable about both topics and was a charming host for our day. The four hours of the tour flew by and we would have loved to be able to spend more time with the tour.

Wonderful walking food and drinks tour - Our guide Leena was fabulous. Giving us the history of Madeira and how the local food was made and shared. She was engaging and made sure everyone was satisfied and answered all our questions from our group. We enjoyed the experience with the others in our group. A lovely afternoon eating and drinking wine and learning about the culture of Madeira and the local community. Thank you so much for a wonderful afternoon.

Fun food tour - We did the food and wine tour at the end of October. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Madeira. She put our group at ease and helped us to get to know each other. So by the end of the tour we felt like friends. We sampled tasty food, cake, biscuits and chocolate. We also sampled delicious tea and Madeiran wine. It was a fun evening. Would recommend.

A tour worth doing! - The guide, Carla was very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions from the group. Visited some lovely places and was a good way to see more or the town. Great variety of food and drink. It was well organised, relaxing and enjoyable. Went away smiling and full of all Maderian tastes and flavours. A must do for anyone visiting Funchal.

Lovely guide with mediocre food - Lovely tour guide but disappointing food. Because it was an evening tour the shops selling chocolate and cake closed at 7.00 so we had to have them first, which was the wrong way round.
Lif you’re looking for good food this isn’t the place and it’s a high price to boot. It’s a nice way of spending the evening , but the food is very average

Leisurely walk and food - We had a 4 hour walk round Funchal. Our guide was lovely and very knowledgable. We walked round the squares and market for 1h15 mins. We first had a Madeira wine and chocolate, followed by a Pastel de Nada and explained the history. We then went to a wine bar where we tasted one wine with some cheeses and meats. From there we walked to the final restaurant. There we had a drink with our meal. We had a fish goujon, garlic bread and polenta followed by a beef and tuna dish with vegetables. We were then shown how to make Pouncho and had a glass of that. The restaurant was lovely and staff very friendly.
