Best tour ever!!! - Unbelievable tour! Don't miss out. Joel was an incredible guide. We felt, afterwards, that it was probably the best tour we have ever had! The tour was personally tailored which met our needs and could not have been better! Thank you Joel for all the wonderful sites we visited and the memories you made for us!

There’s more to Madeira than the tourist brochures! - We booked a half day tour and on the booking form I had said where we didn’t want to go (since we had been there before) but then also mentioned a few random places we hadn’t seen but had heard about. From this rather confused note from me Dinarte constructed the perfect morning tour for our last day. Had we seen the Valley of the Nuns? No? Then we should go there now as there’s not a cloud in the sky and the view will be amazing. It was! And we got there early before the bus tours arrived. From there we had stops at viewpoints above the clouds, drove through the protected forest, went off road, saw waterfalls and steep sided mountains and valleys. Stopped to sample local produce and had plenty of time to take photos of flowers, trees, fields of crops and kiwi fruit and banana passion fruits growing in the wild. Four and a half hours later (it was a very generous half day) we knew a lot more about Madeira and Dinarte and he about us. He will of course take you to whichever places you specify. But to be honest his hidden gems, off the beaten track and coming from his lifetime of living on Madeira showed a more authentic side to the island. What a thoughtful, knowledgable guide who took great care to make sure we had a terrific experience. I wish him all the best in growing a successful business. It’s so well deserved.

A brilliant private tour with a really knowledgeable guide - We were recommended Madeira Insideout by a couple we met at our hotel. Despite originally being fully booked we were contacted to say they could offer us an half-day tour, which we accepted and we are so pleased we did. Dinarte (apologies if incorrect spelling) was so knowledgeable, interesting and friendly and managed to pack in such a lot, although we didn't feel rushed. I am a bit reluctant to praise too highly as we are returning to Madeira next year and want to book a full day tour with them let's hope they aren't fully booked up, because they are so good!

Very special, beautiful and individual tour - A very nice, individual tour. Tours and stops can be planned and made individually and spontaneously. The Spencer guide was great, he explained everything about flora, fauna, politics and general life in Madeira, history and current events.

Fantastic experience - Great tour from Spencer- saw loads and loved the swim in the rock pools. Not having a fixed itinerary was great. Spencer did his best to interpret our wishes and great a fantastic morning out. Loads of local knowledge and history as well. Highly recommend.

Awesome mystery tour - What an Amazing experience!! We booked this tour at the last minute, but so glad we did it. Dinarte, our guide, arrived on time and took us around the North and Northwest of Madeira. His knowledge and passion about Madeira was very evident. He was so invested in giving us the overview of Madeira and made our tour absolutely wonderful. Thanks a lot to Dinarte. And good luck to both these young entrepreneurs who are so genuinely in love with Madeira!!

Great customized tour! - Fantastic 4 hour tour! We took this tour with our 3 teens and we had a wonderful experience with Spencer. He knew the best places to go see, customized the tour to suit our needs, and was a wealth of information. This was a great way to see the greatest hits while on the island. Highly recommend!
