Initiating around 200 meters above the shelter in Rabaçal, this splendid journey embarks.

The journey, predominantly framed by Erica arborea and whortleberry species, also prides itself on a myriad of other flora. Given its location, oscillating between heathland and the Laurel Forest, a UNESCO-declared Natural World Heritage site since December 1999, other species such as laurel, holly, the lily-of-the-valley tree, pau-branco, and Heberdenia may be sighted.

Lagoa do Vento represents a river basin created by waters cascading from a cliff top, originating from Ribeira do Lajeado and progressing towards the Risco waterfall.
