Fantastic tour - An amazing day out with an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable guide in Ricardo. Third visit to Madeira and still saw new things and found out more of the history of the island. Best tour we've done and would recommend. Deserves more than 5 stars

Fantastic 4x4 Tour through the East and Northeast of Madeira – Highly Recommended! - My wife and I took the 4x4 jeep tour through the East and Northeast of Madeira, and it was undoubtedly one of the best experiences of our trip! Our guide, Ricardo, was tireless in ensuring the tour was stunning, informative, and fun.
The jeep was in excellent condition, and the group was small – just us, a German couple, and Ricardo – which provided a more personalized and relaxed experience. Ricardo took us through lesser-known trails and roads, showing us the untouched beauty of the Laurisilva, one of the oldest and best-preserved forests in the world. We stopped several times to take photos and enjoy breathtaking views.
For those who love adventure, I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a camera with plenty of memory – the landscapes are simply awe-inspiring!
Ricardo, always very friendly and attentive, shared interesting facts about Madeiran culture and local biodiversity, making the tour even more engaging.
Tip: If you're visiting Madeira for the first time, this tour is a must. Not just for the adventurous side, but also for the cultural and natural richness that Ricardo introduced us to. It’s an excellent way to escape the crowds and really get to know the island.

Tour of a lifetime! - Ricardo and Marie made this whole experience truly remarkable. The knowledge they had of the areas we visited, the interactive nature of the tour and the personal touch they provided is something all tour groups should strive for. The answered every question we had, took us to extra little areas and even made extra stops to allow us to try local drinks and cuisine while still managing to fit a whole days worth of adventure in and did it with smiles on their faces!
The knowledge of the island is unparalleled and we enjoyed so many views and laughs that we would not hesitate to book with them again should we come back. 100% recommend. I wish we could give higher than 5 stars.

110% recommend this company. Very personal, professional & fun experience - felt like we were being shown Madeira by a friend. - We enjoyed two tours, on two separate days with Marie at Nature Connections, one to the North west & the other to the North east. There were 4 of us in our group.
Marie is an exceptional person, a brave & competent driver on near vertical narrow hairpin roads that cross-cross Madeira, & in the mountains.
As well as driving, Marie accompanied us as our guide, imparting information & humorous anecdotes about the locations we visited - so interesting and a real plus for us.
Every coffee or lunch stop had been carefully chosen for its picturesque setting & good choice of refreshments.
Our pajero jeep was very clean & comfortable, & Marie collected us as arranged before 9am, & returned 4 very happy visitors safely back to our hotel at the end of the day.
As it was my birthday on one of the days, Marie had made an early start to her favourite baker & picked up a special freshly baked cake that we stopped to enjoy with our coffee, that morning. So very kind and personally very touching - but that was Marie!
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend both these tours offered by Nature Connections.

Highly recommend Ricardo - Ricardo was an amazing host. We used him twice on our trip.

A great tour of Madeira - They show you parts of the island that you would not visit, they explain history and curiosities. The Guide is a great Pro who knows the island well.

Once in a life time experience - I didn't really know what to expect when we first started, but OOHHH what an experience!!
Mary and Ricardo are a great team, super friendly, very knowledgeable.
I don't know how but they managed to accommodate all of our needs. Very once did I feel rushed in anyway. All if our stops were magical, even the rides to each destination was so much fun. ( Mary, our driver is a blast)
